Stigma Enchantment Stone

Is there a difference between yellow(name) stigma enchantment stone and purple(name) stigma enchantment stone?
Coz a few hours ago i used my purple one and when it fails it deducts 1 level from the enchantment but with the yellow one it goes back to 0.

Same types, stigma stones but I guess the stigma enchantment is fucked up. +1, then fail.. and it's normal when u enchant from like +8 then fail? Goes back to 0.
