    As a Story i never got involved with the characters, never mattered if they lived or died. All the rest is true, good fighting, quite martial and good animation. And also, maybe its just me, but the lack of wrapping? It was like a single day/night in the life of the guy, a skirmish he got involved in, it wasn't anything great, which diminish the importance of the whole thing.

    But each its own.

    That kind of bring me back to one of my beefs with it in that it was just a one shot story. So you never really had much time with all the characters and never really got to "know" them per say. Versus the more standard series that have been going on for years where you do get to really know the characters, what their true goals are, what makes them tick, and thus usually do care about them

    I think its a matter of execution.
    For instance, no idea if you saw an oldie called Ninja Scroll. Its a 90 minutes ninja flick. But is made in a way you care for the character and it involves you in the plot a lot more, at least for me. And very violent, bloody and as a good 80s anime movie, with a lot of sex as well XD.

    In any case, the fight in your signature is awesome. If only for that, its a good recommended movie alright.

    One of the best fights ever because as far as anime goes it's actually realistic and based on how Samurai actually fought back in the day. Going for that one cut kill and the swords very rarely if ever come in contact with each other. Mostly strike, dodge, strike, dodge.

    Also on a side not I loved the Seirei no Morbito fights. That was a good series.
