Downgrade 2.6 to 2.5.0.x ?

Hello,

my friend wants to start playing GamezAion too. His client is now on 2.5.0.5 and I told him not to upgrade on 2.6 and because that the server supports 2.5.0.5 we just installed the GamezAion Launcher files and tried to start the game.

Now the error message we get is "This game is not available in your country", but he downloaded the North American version, now I'm thinking about if this has something to do that he still has all his .ncpatch files in his Aion folder. This files only disappear when you start the client one time, but he cant start the client and he also cant start the client via NCSoft Launcher because the launcher wants him to upgrade to 2.6 first.

What should I do now? Shall we upgrade to 2.6 and if we upgrade to 2.6 is there any method to downgrade it? Does it work with the same files you use to downgrade from 2.5.0.4 to 2.5.0.3 (the bin32 & bin64 folder) or do we have to do something else for it?

Download this: http://aion.patcher.ncsoft.com/Aion/Main/Patches/Aion_Main_2.5.0.5To2.6.0.0.ncpatch and open it with winRAR. You need to see yourself which files have been changed through the patch and get working 2.5.0.x versions of them. That'd work, I guess.

 

You've posted me the 2.6 .ncpatch file but I don't need that file. Whatever we found a post on google where someone used the bin32 and bin64 folder of 2.5.0.3 and replaced them. It should work, we will try that after my friend finished patching to 2.6

 

Lol i had the same prob as u i just reinstalled my whole aion client what u can do is either go to the link and downgrade but i think its much easier to just reinstall aion the retail aion and when it get to 2.5.0.3 and its done just exit out

 

I actually asked you to check which folders you need to backup for the downgrade later, after the update. Guess you didn't get my point. I actually know how to download a clean game through the NCsoft launcher to 2.5.0.3 and no further, but I'm not posting it yet

 

sorry man didnt see but i did everything and when i went to go pull up gamezaion to play it it would still give me a error so i just reinstalled it

 

If you know how why don't you post it then? Whatever the client is now on 2.6 and we will try to downgrade it with the 2.5.0.3 bin32/64 folders.

Not downgrade you people xD Updating like 2.5.0.4 and above doesn't exist - 2.5.0.3 being latest, hence lying to the NCsoft launcher

well reinstalling might take like 2 or 3hrs or longer but would be helpful to you. if you dont know how to uninstall something go to your computer and then at the top should say "uninstall or change a program". Hope it helps

 

You can download 0.0.0.0To2.1.0.12 patch, extract it (as it's not XDELTA), locate it with NCsoft launcher and repair. This + the updating trick = win. I have to mention that the original patch lacks L10N, you gain it through the repair

 

Then you are on version 2.1.0.12 and what means "+ the updating trick"? Why should I download the seperate patchfile if I can patch it via NCSoft launcher and how do I know when to stop the launcher patching?

 

You can Upgrade to 2.6 and then Try Downgrade by Deleting the Bin32 and bin64 files and replacing them with bin32 and bin64 2.5 files..and also modify ur version in Version.Ini

If this not work..reinstall and Close the updater when it wants to upgrade to 2.6..that means after the 2.5.0.5 vers ( That's how i did ) ..

Thats what i did but it still gave me the error so i just reinstall but i think if you cant downgrade and your not getting it i guess the only thing would to reinstall.

 

we are on the 2.5.0.3 or 2.5.0.5 just want to make sure?

 

I don't know what the problem had been but my friend needs to reinstall everything. His NCSoft launcher did upgrade the language packs (2,0GB) and after that nothing happened, the L10N had still been empty and we tried that two times now. We are so pissed off, that we reinstall everything now and then I will upgrade untill 2.6 after that I just replace the bin32 and bin64 folders. F***ing FAILSoft.

 

yea im mad to but nothign i can do about it and the same thing happen to you happen to me thank god my aion its almost done with the 2.5.0.5 then all i have to do is exit out and everything will be back to normal

 

So you just quit the launcher when its finished with 2.5.0.5 and you dont upgrade to 2.6?

 

yes once you you see 2.5.0.5 and its done just click exit dont let it download the 2.6 or you will have to reinstall it all over lol witch would suck mines at 98% on the 2.5.0.5 so once it hits 100% imma exit also make sure cuz theres 2/2 files im on the 1/2 make sure it downloaded both the files before u click exit
