(E01004) Data error. Session expired. when downloading Aion

As the title says. I get this error. I haven't played for a long time and I just downloaded the aion launcher today and after I installed it it won't start... this error shows up. If anyone knows how I can fix it please help.

 

Hi there, make sure that your aion launcher got acces to the NCSoft servers, check your firewall, antivir etc. anything that could block the connection.

My antivirus is turned off and I've added an exception for it in the firewall but still the same error Could it be the ISP that blocks the connection. I'm currently at uni and a lot of websites are blocked... but the game was reported as working on the network.

 

I cant talk for your uni now, cant say if they blocked it. But try to ping an Aion server, for example: 64.25.35.103, if its blocked it would be the best to get a working client from a friend. Than you can easy connect to out Gamez server.

I guess that means it's not blocked, right?

 

It´s not blocked, all 4 packets went trough and came back. The connection is maybe not stable enough for the download, i cant really help you there, if thats the case. Did you try it from another PC ?

 

No, I haven't. I told my sister to download the game back at home and upload it to Google Drive lol... I bought a new laptop a month ago so it can't be a hardware problem. My speed test shows 94.94 Mb/s downlaod and 95.04 Mb/s upload (8ms ping).

 

Yeah thats not a hardware problem, either software or a provider problem. If your sister can download it without problems, that would be the best way to do it! If you have any other questions feel free to ask, you are welcome~

 

What I noticed is that after I reinstalled, the launcher started, updated itself and after that I get this error.

 

Mh, something is blocking the connection, are you sure its not something on your pc ?

 

Besides my antivirus and windows firewall, which I have turned off, I can't think of anything else. I tried to start it via safe mode but still the same error.
