    Hi,

    Since users constantly like to ask staff members questions of how to use certain features on the forums. I thought I make one to cover the most popular questions about forum features.

    Below, are common questions. Select your problem or question below to to get a mini guide.

    You most likely need to confirm your email. You cannot do much on the forums without completing the full registration. If you cannot confirm your email because there is no email arriving, contact a staff member.

    How do I change my Signature, and how do I put a picture in it?

    To change your Signature, Find the Settings Tab at the top of the forums:

    Then on the left side, search for Edit Signature:

    You should have arrived in this part of your settings:

    Find your picture that fits Forum Guidelines standards (500 px by 200 px) and copy it (it has to be a file on a website):

    Then select somewhere inside your Edit Signature box and Push CTRL + V or Paste:

    Then Hit Preview Signature then save Signature.

    How do I change my Avatar and Profile Picture?

    Find the Settings Tab at the top of the forums:

    Then Select Edit Avatar or Profile Picture:

    Both editing Avatar and Profile picture have the same steps.

    Red Box:

    Selecting this option removes your Avatar or Profile Picture.


    Green Box:

    Selecting this option will allow you to Add a profile picture (See next step)

    If you choose "Use Custom Avatar", you have two options. First option you need to find a picture somewhere on the internet that is 150 x 200 px or smaller and no larger than 3 mb and Copy Image URL:

    and paste that link in Option one.

    Option two

    You Select Choose file, Find a picture on your computer that fits the description. And hit upload.

    Then you Save.

    How do I change my USER TITLE?

    To change your USER TITLE, you need to first be a registered user. After reaching 100 posts, your usergroup will change (unnoticeably) and allow you to change your USER TITLE. If you are not above 100 posts, then you cannot change your title.

    To change your title, you need to go to settings at the top of the forum page:

    Then select Edit Profile on the left side of your page:

    After Selecting Edit Profile, your screen should look like this:

    Within the red box, you should be able to see Custom User Title.

    Selecting reset will remove your old title and put the default one on.

    To edit your title, you type in the words you want and hit save at the bottom of the page.

    How do I become VIP on the forums?

    VIP is only obtainable by leaving Staff or winning the title from an event that features VIP as the reward.

    VIP used to be obtained by donating to the forums. But this option is no longer available.

    How do I to Customize my Profile page?

    To customize how your profile page looks. Go to the top of the forum and click on My Profile:

    Then Click on Customize my Profile:

    A new popup/Dropdown screen will appear over your entire page and this is how it will look:

    RED BOX:
    These options will allow you to change the main sections of the page.


    Font Family will change the font of the entire page and you can change the size as well. Title Text Color will change the color of your title and the Title of each catagory page.

    Page background allows you to set the background color or picture of the entire profile. This can be a color code or an image link.

    Page link color allows you to change the color a link when you hover your mouse over the hyper link.

    Green Box:

    The options within the green box are self explanatory. These options allow you to change the color of the text on the buttons of your profile page; Change the Back ground of the buttons by changing the hex color or inserting an image link; and you can change the color of the button border around the actual button.

    Blue Box:

    The options in the Blue box allow you to change the look of your active modules. Shown above
    inside the Red boxes. Once again, you can change the color of the text (mine above is white), change the color of the link when you hover over the button, change the background color/image of the button (mine is solid dark gray) and change the color of the border of the button.


    Pink Box:
    The Pink box options allow you to change the background of each individual content box. Like a Visitor message. Once again you can change the color of the border of each content box. And change the text of each visitor message as well change the color of each link in the messages. Not only does it change visitor messages, it changes activity messages, your friend's recent activites, your BIO, ETC.

    Orange Box:
    The orange box changes the inactive modules.

    The inactive module is on the left side of your profile. You can change the background of this area. And also change the color of the text of your USER TITLE. Also change the color of the top buttons on your profile page. Changes the color of each catagory title on the module such as Friends, groups, albums, ETC.


    Black Box:

    The Black Box will Change the Headers of each page of your profile. You can change the background, text color and link colors of each header.

    How to contact a staff member?

    There is always a way to get in touch with a staff member, here on forum, on your official facebook site or in-game.

    Via forum: By this list you can always see the current members of the staff and their current online status, if it's urgently. You click on the profile of the needed person and you will be able to send a private message about your concern.

    Via Facebook: GamezAion has an official Facebook page where you can contact us if you need some help or have any Aion related concerns. You can choose between a wall post or a private message.

    Via in-game: By typing ".gmlist" in chat:

    you can see who are the currently online GMs in-game. If a GM is not online, you will see this in chat:

    If a GM is online:

    GMs are online to be available to answer your questions and help you, if you have an report to make while ingame etc.

    Reasons for not contacting a staff member: Contacting a staff member about a ban which got issued is unnecessary as there is the ban panel where everyone can appeal. All those things will discussed there. No need of making threads about it, otherwise you have to get along with the consequences.

    Reasons for contacting a staff member: Whenever you have to make a report about something, feel free to inform any of the staff members (bugs, hackers, got stuck, server transfer fail etc.)

    How do I post a poll?

    Posting a poll is easy. First you go to any section that we allow polls. Usually Community forums and General Sections.

    Then Start a new thread:

    Then You make your thread with the normal title and Text area description.

    Then you Scroll below the thread text box and look for Post a Poll check box and select it.

    Then Submit New Thread.

    After Submitting New Thread, It you will be directed to a new page. This page is where you can Make your Question, Then you Poll Options.

    After editing your poll. Click Submit new poll. And your poll should be created with the thread.

    How do I post a Video?

    Posting a Video is easy.

    First. Go to youtube. Then find the video you want. Copy the Address at the top.

    Then go to your post and click on the video icon when creating it.

    The paste the URL in the text box and click ok.

    And your BB Code should be automatically made like this:

    After after you post, the video will be up.
