Implement changes to "Retail-BDO" that make our server stand out from all the others?

    Let us put it to a Vote then, let's see what the community thinks about making Big changes to the GamezBD servers.
    Let's say we implement TRUE x10 multiplier across the board, and only leave some aspects of the game at x2-5?

    • Let's put the Combat Experience down to: x2-5
    (instead of at x10 as it is now) Because Level of Characters do not mean much, and to make REAL use of all the items as well as other buffs that increase Combat Experience. It really makes sense since this game is ENTIRELY GEAR-BASED, not character level and since Character level influences quest requirements then it makes even more sense to have it go a bit slower so you can catch up gear-wise to the quests offered to you.
    • Character Skills Experience: x5-10
    • Character Physical Skills Experience: x5-10
    • ALL Life-Skill-experience: x10
    • Gathering Amounts: x2-5
    • Gathering/Fishing/Hunting Droprates: x5-10
    • Droprate of monsters (NPC/Mobs): x10
    Perhaps even a return to the old-school-loot-drop-style, where we would get fish, trade items, and loads of green items from drops?
    • Movement speed of Mounts: x2-5
    • Movement speed of Rafts/Boats/Ships: x5-10
    Makes sense since we spend around 10-20% of the game-time just traveling.
    • Worker Speed & Amount Gathered / Worth (Value): x5-10 / x20
    This would make them worthwhile having and investing in.
    • Guild Skills Experience rate: x5-10
    • Explore & Tendency: x5-10
    • Stealing & Collection: x10 (as is)
    If there is more I am forgetting please add a comment.

    As I said before.
    Such changes involve weeks of hard work, people who,
    I guess, usually do it in their free time and for free.
    I think that the technique of small steps will work better,
    making their work easier, without imposing tasks on them excessively.
    It's easier to edit a few scripts or mechanics than to rebuild the entire systems immediately.
    Let's treat your list as to-do items in the future.
    Letting them choose what is easiest / quickest to do right away.
    You know, pressure and deadline are bad motivations;)

    I absolutely Agree Whole Heartedly with this statement, however those changes should be quite easy to employ, or at least run a few tests with on the test-server. I know that they have limited time and resources but with the amounts some players are spending on the new Caphras system as well as all the Premium Users as well as Webshop users, I bet you that they have enough to employ their staff to decent wages nowadays :)

    But as I said, the changes should be minor, it is not as making new quests as another of my suggestions was, since that is a major task, OR like repricing the lot of items in the database (which I love doing "micro-management") for a better Central Market yet another of my suggetions. Changing the rates Usually could be done in a major way with little changes to the scripts, at least in a well built system anyway :)

    However as you say, limited staff and developers make it a wish more than anything else from my point of view anyway. Certainly not a demand or anything that should be a deadline-sort of thing.

    worker speed 10-20x to equalize the gatherinmg and drop rates would be nice same go for trade. movement speed on boat? maybe for trade routeing 2-3x anymore would be boreing.
    fishing needs to be better and the trade for fishing be better and trade amount uped also to match server rates.
