It has the idea, but Aion's graphics engine is simply better for me. This + a better displaying might end Aion's era, yes.

 

better graphic means nothing......

 

The details of the character and mobs cannot be compared to Aion features, methinks.
However, I gotta admit that the environment is damn nice.

 

There were so many games that were going to be the "WoW killer" but that never happened ;(

A tank with 34k hp & 21k mp. Now, compare this solo'ing tank to Aion's Templar.

 

My friend play the game, he said the game play isn't that great and it get boring after awhile and Pvp is decent not that great.

 

Am I the only one that loves the sounds?

 

TERA isn't that hot.

Trust me, played it done it been there.

The classes are boring, customization is near non-existant and the pvp is pretty ****ing lackluster at best. Healing is a chore, buffing is a chore....

The more and more I think of it the less and less I want to go back to it.

 

Yes, it's lacking of many things but it's just released. It's a really fresh mmo.

 

Eh, although Aion has been listed as an AAA MMO, it has never reigned any genre officially. Aion's strong points are its graphics, and a fairly interesting PvP system, that's about it.

Now, if there's something that can topple Aion's place in its players' hearts, I'll have to say Guild Wars 2 or BnS.

 

Look at the language in the video ^^ i bet that's korean
And korean clients usually have cute sounds.

That means , the american/european client version is going to have some pretty boring sounds hehe.

 

What I hated about Aion is every time it moves to a newer version it demands too much space in our computer due to its getting higher and even better graphics. But what I like about Aion is even though it oblige us to change our PC to be able to play, the game play itself and the game plot is what makes it worthy. I don't even play with the highest graphics now so I really don't mind any games that has a lot more amazing graphics. I look forward to the story of the game and how things in-game.

And usually Korea depicts what outcome a MMO has in terms of updates, patches, etc.

TERA really looked impressive to me at first, but over time I realized

-Classes are shallow, generic and redundant... especially with the multiple melee roles that may as well override eachother.
-Balancing is a COMPLETE mess.
-No customization... glyph system is pretty much like getting a used condom smacked into ones face, everyone has it... and that is pretty much the only way to "customize".... I don't even consider armor/weapon crystals customization.
-Political system is ****ing bullshit, It is just BAD. BAD. BAD. BAD. I don't want to listen to a whiny 12 year old guild leader in my free time, I work my ass off all day fixing their boo boo's and telling them to not put their ffewufhnerfe into the nearest dirt-pile of a fhfbewif-gina.
-Leveling is pretty banal. Nothing seems that awesome after the first day or so, the click to shoot a fireball gets REALLY OLD REALLY FAST.
-Raidz ... are NON EXISTANT. One doesn't really have Open world pvp. People get instant cast mounts and can easily run away from you when you are waiting for the "start pvp timer DURR DURRRRRRRRR". It sucks.
-Players generally are boring as hell, smashing buttons randomly on melee classes trying just to hit you.
-Endgame is.... nothing? Sweet the top legion douchebags rule the political system and are milking us of everything ! YIPPIEE TRADE BROKER TAXES = 90%! WHEEEEEEEEE.

I'm a PvPer and TERA ****ing dissapointed.

Also I was never really interested in Tera. Waiting on GW2.

TERA really did suck, no one from GamezAion which is a HIGHLY focused PVP server/gaming thing... would want to join this broken pvp piece of graphics game.

 

Couldn't agree more aegis , my friend plays it too and he is really , really disappointed.. but he said it at least opens faster than aion and the ambience is awesome. Oh and he said it's much easier to play than aion... which is lame because aion is easy enough already lol.

 

I am interested in Tera, but honestly is because of the graphics mostly AND some design and gameplay elements... like a curiosity to see how it will be, but I dont find the pvp system atractive enough to invest time on it. And I think it will work good as a PVE game.

Maybe Guild Wars 2 will be more interesting... so far to my knowledge they havent show any pvp specifics for the game.

Lets wait and see... until then, I ll stay on Aion.

 

GW2 looks like my next -potential-mmo.

Everything else looks like canned bullshit.
