Dilemma: Tahabata's Weapon, Anuhart's <Class> <Armor>, Elder Armors/Weapons, etc.

Hi guys, I just returned few days ago after months of absence...I am still trying to adapt to v2.5...

Now, I have one problem:
Too many v2.1 items sitting in my inventory, and they became either:
- need soul-binding (previously don't need)
- become untradable (previously tradable without VIP, like those armors in this thread's title)
- become unable to store in Accout Warebouse (previously able to do so without VIP or whatever...)

Before you suggest me to install "Working Item Pak v2.5", I already did...but I got it installed without even knowing what it suppose to do...there's no description for that patch, it only has instruction to install, but not telling you what kind of difference it will make. However, I am still thankful to the author of the patch, it must have changed/improved something for the better...I just don't know what those improvements are, lol, perhaps you can tell me?


Anyway, now I am wondering about how should I dispose of those old v2.1 items, to maximize the rewards.
My main concerns are the following items:
1) Anuhart's <Class> <Armor type>.
2) Tahabata Weapons/Shield.
3) Elder Armors.
4) Elder Weapons/Shield.

I am playing on Lumiel. Any suggestion how should I get rid of them from my inventory, to maximize the profit?
And yes, I know these items don't worth much, since we already move to v2.5 with all those new v2.5 more powerful items...but I am a very poor player, all 8 characters lv55 with full anuhart class weapons and armors only (all +0), and total kinah combined from all 8 characters are only about 20 billion.

Questions:
1) Are those items tradable (VIP or not?) after I install the Working Item.pak v2.5? If so, what are their market values? (Pardon me, but I didn't play for quite sometime, so I can't tell their market prices now...)
2) Can I convert these items into something else (example, enchantment stone)? If yes, how profitable is such an action?
3) Any other way I can turn these items into anything EXCEPT another inventory slot? (kinah? stones? whatever...I just don't want to sell them to npc!)

Edit: How about those gold/platinum/silver medals? Are they tradable (VIP or not?) after installing that Working Items.pak v2.5?

Edit2: BTW out of topic, now that we have armfusion...does that mean for chanter and cleric, "staff fusion staff" > "1h + shield"? I can throw/trade away all my mace/shield and switch to staff for my cleric and chanter?

 

Well the first thing I can say is that perhaps the items.pak you're using doesn't work properly for you and it's happened to other players after installing the new items.pak. I will still suggest that you reinstall your items.pak. make sure that any old items.pak you have under USA/Items is moved out of that folder.

Secondly, as of how to rid of your 2.1 equipment to maximize rewards.

1) Anuhart's <Class> <Armor type>.
This are bigginer's equipment now days and you can sell them thru the trade broker or advertize on Trade/LFG channel until you find a buyer. Considering that now it's more difficult for players to get Anuhart and Kinah is not as abundant for as it was a couple of months ago, you should ask for a considerable amount.

Use the Trade Broker as a reference to see for how much players are selling their pieces and then advertize with the same or a similar (Perhaps lower) price.

2) Tahabata Weapons/Shield.
Tahabata is much harder to come by now days and many people still use it to combine with other weapons. These pieces can still be sold for good Kinah or traded to other players for similar quality items such as lower grade PvP gear like EGT.

3) Elder Armors.
4) Elder Weapons/Shield.
Elder is only used to Salvage (extract) for stones to upgrade weapons and armor. It's still a fairly common drop specially if you have VIP. Those are not necessary to keep around unless you wanted to keep a "new char leveling set".

Armfusion has always been around and you can only combine weapons of the same class and only 2handed weapons. (Staff+Staff) (Greatsword + Greatsword) etc...

Medals:
Gold = Tradeable without VIP.
Platinum = Tradeable only with VIP.

I thought since this is v2.5 people would treat those like junk, I was expecting answers like "they are a bunch of junk so just turn all of them into enchant stones for max profit".

Thanks for the info! I'll try to trade the anuharts, and try my luck on those Elder stuffs with extraction.

I'll also try to reinstall items.pak...hmm...I actually deleted the entire Aion folder before I reinstall+update to v2.5, I wonder what could be the problem?

Btw redcox, do you happen to play on Lumiel? Throw me a character name and I'll try to show you my appreciation through mail I bet it may not worth much to veteran player like you, but it will be some honest worthwhile gift from a noob like me.

Yes I play on Lumiel but there is no need for any appreciation, I was just trying to help and I wouldn't say you're a noob either, you're just a little off since you didn't play in a while.

I'm looking into your items.pak issue since it should've worked. What version of windows are you using?
