Carl takes the time to fix some bugs on the server, but can't respond to a simple message to unban someone.

SAM+ does, to be exact.

 

This ban goes above the ams and sams because he was the one to do it, and they told me to contact him to get it undone.

Many messages later, I see he updates the server a few times, and I have no response.

 

Its not Carl's responsibility to check the ban appeals all the time. This is why he hired the staff he has now..

Now if you disagree with the decision of a ban appeal that a SAM has said, Then it needs to be sent to a HGM to be dealt with..


edited: especially if its bans he does, he doesn't need to explain himself.

 

AMs do not have the right to reply to ban appeals.

You missed my response. I was told by upper staff that I needed to contact Carl himself to appeal my ban that he himself did, and it wasn't even because of something on the private server.

Now, if I'm told by the people responsible for ban appeals to contact the head guy about this situation, it would be nice if he could respond.

 

Depends on what you got banned for...

Carl won't respond and if he felt the ban was necessary then he'll apply it... We as staff don't go against the decision he does. Its his server.

 

I was working with Evilset on the test server to prepare the private server for 2.5. I did various tests and data entry.

I was never told what commands not to use and/or why not to use them.

I restarted the server because I felt it was lagging and things seemed to be acting funny.

Again, had no previous warnings or issue with that command.

Me and my friend are then IP and account banned on both test and private server. And it's because we used a command we were never told not to use? And we can't even get a response from Carl about it? Extremely unprofessional and silly.

 

If you were banned by Carl you must have done something pretty darn stupid

I wouldn't waste my breath appealing it personally.

 

Just wondering, if Carl personally banned you i doubt that he will acept you appeal, anyway take it as a bump for your thread :O

He should accept an appeal to a ban done unfairly to people who had no idea what they did was wrong.

Explain yourself and be an adult before you allow people on your test server.
