Templar's Damage

Ok so BP has been fixed (it's still decent enough in my opinion) but whatever happened to all of our other skills and regular damage?

Here's a little log from some PvP testing after the update. (I just copy-paste this from the log and removed the useless data so it might not be in the right order)

Critical Hit! You inflicted 34 critical damage on Zen.
Critical Hit! You inflicted 4 critical damage on Zen.
Critical Hit! You inflicted 4 critical damage on Zen.
You inflicted 75 damage on Zen by using Ferocious Strike V.
You inflicted 92 damage on Zen by using Robust Blow V.
Critical Hit!You inflicted 196 damage on Zen by using Wrath Strike IV.
Critical Hit!You inflicted 152 damage on Zen by using Shining Slash III.
You inflicted 52 damage on Zen by using Dazing Severe Blow III.
Critical Hit!You inflicted 362 damage on Zen by using Judgment II.

Normal attack Critical hit dealt as much as 34 damage.
Ferocious Strike V dealt 75 Damage
Robust Blow dealt 92 damage and so on

1) What weapon was I using? +15 MCD Greatsword Combined with ABG
2) What armor was he using? ABG Plate Set

The damage reduction on the Templar has been drastic.

With my one handed Sword I was dealing 0 Damage on him.

I've PvPed Zen several times before and we both know how much damage we can deal on each other so it was quite surprising to us the amount of damage we were dealing.

Are any other Templar's experiencing the same thing?

This is the BP Data

I didn't get to use BP on him, he got to use it on me when we were testing. These are 3 separate instances where BP was used.

Zen has knocked you down by using Provoking Shield Counter.
Zen has inflicted 1,644 damage on you by using Break Power IV.

Critical Hit!Zen has inflicted 221 damage on you by using Shield Bash IV.
Critical Hit!Zen has knocked you back by using Shield Bash IV.
Critical Hit!Zen has inflicted 2,778 damage on you by using Break Power IV.

Zen has inflicted 901 damage on you by using Shieldburst I.
Zen has knocked you down by using Shieldburst I.
Critical Hit!Zen has inflicted 4,548 damage on you by using Break Power IV.

 

My jaw dropped when I read through this. Go from 8k to not even 400.

 

where's the break power damage?

I edited the main post to include the BP damage data we captured.

 

He cant even do 400 damage, how do you expect him to knock anyone over to try out break power. lol

 

BP, considering you guys wore both plate, that should be understandable or decent enough. you'll probably deal about 5k to leather types.

can you post test data to all? leather/cloth and chain.

You'd want to use a GS for your high damage o.e Not Sword/Shield

 

Didnt see that nice catch. Would be over 9000 if a good 2h was used.

I guess if I was trying to get my damage increased on my class I would use this totally misleading tactic. Call me crooked, but seems to work on this server.

Going to load up my sorc, take some screenies of auto hitting with book and claim my damage is nerfed. If I cry enough they will raise sorc damage 2000% and then when I flameburstlightthingy it will insta delete my foe and I will be victorious. Right?

 

Psh BP is one of those skills a templar weaves for, hoping for a KD crit then smacking them in the face with it.
I would never in a trillion years waste it using shield/mace

 

Using the shield was the only way to cause knockdown because the GS damage was crap. There was no way I could knock him down and neither could he.

I believe he switched to GS after knocking me down with the shield but regardless of whatever weapon we used. I don't care about BP at this point, I'm more concern about the damage over all with all of the other skills.

Skills with a description of damage between 500-580 were dealing 50 damage on a full ABG plate set, does that sound right? I don't think so.

The GS damage plus the skill damage should've dealt a lot more than 50-100 damage.

You're crazy. It sounds right to me!

 

Funny shit though. Wacking someone all over their body for 40 damage then 4500 pops out from break power. Yup, its a proper GameZ formula. Its not even a dp skill, which makes it even funnier.

Please note that Eureka and I played on the same server and we talked from time to time, shared some strats. Usually it's him asking me to take over his spot in parties when he's gotta go. this is a video of a templar from retail named Eureka. We played on the same server and he is one of the best templars during the time I was playing. This is a 2.1 video, not 2.5. But rest assured that templars didn't get nerfed or buffed in 2.5.

4:03 - Here, you see Eureka with m.res set and did not resist Doom Lure. I'm pointing this out because many ppl cried that this was suppose to be a magic skill.
4:42 - break power did a little under 1.7k non crit with m.resist cloth set. I have confirmed with him that he had NO attack stones in anything, not even his GS.
That's a lvl 50 triorn GS merged with a lvl 50 pvp GS. At the time he made this video, his GS was +10 and had roughly mid 500s attack.
This is gamez with abg, and with a proper build, I hope you ppl that QQed about BP can use your brain and see that it's highly possible to be dealing 5k+ crit with BP on players.

 

I just saw another post by Evilset saying they're working on the damage today.

I went to sleep and I didn't get to respond this on time so I'm only bumping this to answer the question that was asked.

a Sword was used on the first BP test which dealt a little over 1k damage and a GS was used on the 2nd and 3rd BP test which dealt 2k+ and 4k+ damage.

The attacks which kept dealing 90 dmg, 60 dmg, etc... they were all with the Greatsword I mentioned on my initial post.

However, since the devs are working on correcting this, I assume that this is now meaningless until it's fixed.

 

Man, Doom lure can't even cancel players' skill when used.

PS- Zen is full mres, and the last dmg is with full buffs.

 

Sword and shield is a shame already, and not switching to GS while popping BP is just horrible.
But yeah, nerf for nothing again.
