Tell me what you think?

So I was talking to Lautaro about this fantastic idea.... In which he thinks its a good idea but not sure if you, the community, would actually take it seriously.. Now on to my idea....


Idea:

A section or chatroom so TWO PEOPLE can go into and hash it out with a staff member supervising and being the center ground.. Not just AMs... AMs have their duty of being in game.. But anyone who's available that is part of the staff team.

Why:

There is a lot of disrespect on the forums lately and I am seeing a lot of people getting into arguments and there is really no where for you to go hash it out with either getting infracted or hitting some sort of common ground. Putting this section or chatroom would allow you to do so with out any worry of getting banned or infracted.. I don't know about you, but the people I was able to hash it out with, I became closer in friendship with them because we were able to come to an understanding.


Will there be rules? Yes, there will be some rules.. but nothing to restrict you from being able to speak your mind.


So with that said, Tell me you want this, or don't want this...

 

Sounds like a good idea, especially if it's a forum section. I think if it's a IRC or something people won't care enough to go there for that.

i like the idea ^^ could stop a lot of the disrespect that goes on around here but sometimes its between more then two people so wouldnt it be better to make it about 4ish for max people that can go in there?

 

Great idea. I mainly use the forums for guides, trades, recent updates, and all that good stuff. All the DRAMA QUEENS can burst out their "feelings" on that specific chatroom so we can have a peaceful and decent forum.

 

I just said two people cause usually it is.. But if there is more, then sure.. I don't see an issue there.

two people or more can just have their drama there under the supervision of a staff member

it would allow the people to take a breath and calm down
have a normal conversation to resolve their issues
since anger never does

 

yup the only problem i see is would they be mature enough to go to that specific section?

 

Some probably won't, but this where we'd step in and ask them nicely to go there...

 

I like the idea, can we call it "The Drama Room"? please?!!!

But being more serious about this. The idea is not bad but I hope a few things have been taken into account.

- Will there always be a staff member available to monitor this?
- Can the members request for this anytime or predefined times?
- For how long can they go at it before the monitor calls it off?

I think this is a wonderful idea and it will probably help out in the forums as well. Possibly be less having to warn people and infract them as much.

 

Yup, it's a good idea.
Seeing that 16 persons already said "Yes" and no one is against it, I think that you'll be successful.

 

Now i know some suggested the forum section would be easier, but the only problem i see with that is other can read it, and use the argument against them in the future.. I can delete it, but not fast enough.. Thats why I think a chatroom might be a better idea.. hmmm
