What's the skill ?

I tend to see asmo players (mostly Sorcs) in Core who look like a floating ball or something like that and you can pretty much see only their name. How do they do it ? Is it a sorc skill or a scroll/food ?

 

Screenshot please. maybe it is a Fungie candy but that doesn allow them to fly...

 

Uh... Scrolls don't transform you , and as far as i know , there isn't a Transformation Candy(Food) which allows you to fly.
How does that "Ball" you speak of look like? What color is it?

I saw that too today.It looks like floating flame ball.didnt ss-ed it,I thought that i was lagging.

Ya. Maybe I'm missing some sorc armor textures and I see only their neckly ? That would explain the ball but the "invisible sorcs" started appearing just recently...

Flying.. and quite fast I'd say but that could be explained with Greater Raging Wind Scrolls and some armor bonus stats.

 

it enables you to see rangers... any retail player would know to have some on his character when pvping..

That seems to be a floating, weird looking, ball creature.

Can't find one in the core atm. What I see is (probably) a Necklace shine floating around and at times just players name and guild floating around. The thing is I don't see any buffs on the sorcs that could cause it (As far as I know elemental Robes and Stone Skin don't make your character half invisible) so it may be some texture loading fail but I haven't done any changes to my aion so there is no reason this would happen just all of a sudden...

 

You sure you're not playing with shift+f12? Because if you haven't done anything to make your game load slower to make some characters invisible, this might be the cause (just in case they are not abusing anything, nor hacking).

/edit: But shift+f12 doesn't make you look like a floating ball so it's kinda weird. Damn! I badly wish for an SS because it's so intriguing.

 

What does Shift+F12 do ? The thing is those Invisible ones are SORCS only... everything else is perfectly visible. Currently upgrading aion to 2.5.0.5 to get possible missing textures followed by Repair and downgrade to 2.5.0.3 and I'll see what happens.

 

Uhh.. let me think , a player who's using the elite legion uniform which is invisible to you because you do not have the latest items.pak?

Try Downloading it. Working 2.5 Item Pak

Remember , you'll find two .xml files in the .rar you'll download , you have to place them in C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\Data\USA\Items and you have to delete the existing items.pak , the .xmls should as an items.pak does.
Remember , Data\USA\Items not Data\Items!!!!

EDIT: Sorcs only you said? Are you sure? Hmm... And they are Invisible when u meet them? Or they are visible and they become invisible after they use some spell?

 

shift+f12 makes your character the only visible character in the screen. It makes the characters around you invisible and the only visible are their title or rank, name and legion if there is. If you click them, they will appear. This helps people to reduce the lag they are experiencing in-game. And yes, other things like the mobs, NPC's are still visible on screen.

 

I've had the items.pak ever since it has been released and so far had no problems with anyting.

They are invisible from the first moment I see them, it's not like they disappear. But as I've said, it's not that kind of invisibility Scouts have, it's a floating name without character showing. Anyway, client repaired, now I'll just downgrade and let you know what happens.

The problem here is that they don't...

Uhh , maybe your computer is too slow to load the textures? Set the quality to the lowest Q.Q

ps: did u delete the Data\USA\Items\Items.pak after u repaired?
You need to have only the two .xml files in that folder.
