A little add to events

I've recently participated a 6 vs 6 tag team deathmatch event, and I had to realise that most of the players are freaking dumbasses...
The event was clearly about 1 vs 1 fights, meanwhile the next teammate tags the one who fought before in case he/she dies in the battle, yet the asmos felt like they can gank the participating elyos fighter anytime he runs to their gathering spot.

I'm not whining about it, since I easily served the 6 asmodian participants, however I'd like to suggest a rule for the events, such as allowing the event hoster AM to jail/temporarily ban the fellows who do not respect the rules.

The thought of disqualification doesn't seem to be enough to scare them away from using cheap moves, such as the deed mentioned above... so I guess it would be about time to plant the seed of fairplay in their heads, even if it requires some strict treatment to make it natural for them.

The GM that is hosting the event should be making sure the players are following the rules and take appropriate action if they are not.

 

Funny how it was once also a 3vs3 and we ended up fighting 3vs6 against the bugged sm, and the overpowered sorcerers all at the same time when they hit like trucks at 8 crit. ( 4 weeks ago) Too bad they died.

One got jailed though the others nothing.

If they dont know how to play eff their asses into jail 24 hours

they would learn how to play.

Thats what lacks here. I only see ban and shits they dunno about jail ( something that can be torture) .


And dont talk about appropriate actions in siel pls.

 

I won't mention the name of the gamemaster who hosted the event, since it clearly was not his/her fault.
He explained the rules and everyone from my team fully understood it, yet the other team seemed to be retarded enough to violate them many.. many.. many times.

 

If it would have been myself and they'd kept breaking the rules after I told them a few times - I would have kicked them from the event. I personally probably would never jail someone over rule breaking in the events b/c they are supposed to be fun but at the same time as a gm you cant let some players ruin the event for others. There are times when you have to be pretty firm to keep your event going as planned as I know that you know that already.

You know there should be a limit on stacking classes too. Cause we all know 4 sm's in 1 pt is fair.
Besides cheating in a Staff sanctioned event is basically like breaking rules and can do serious damage. I think jail is a fair thing to do.

 

I dont know what you mean by this maneta - I personally dont usually have problems myself when I host my events as generally the players on Crystal are respectful and do what I ask of them.

If I find I am having a problem then I start questioning myself like - did I explain the rules correctly and in terms the players can understand, am I listening to problems the players are telling me, etc.

I've only had problems a few times - mostly during pvpve events when I ask players to stay where I port them so they don't aggro the bosses - and then it was only b/c a player didnt listen.

I do have to take back what I said about the jailing during events though b/c I forgot the other day when I did a scavenger hunt for both races at the same time (only b/c of time constraints) - I made the western shard off limits to pvp during the event and one player only wouldnt abide by that rule out of the 50+ that joined that event so I ended up jailing him for 15 mins.

 

Ok I'll be mean and racist but Crystal has a small population, with players who know each other, meanwhile Gamez-Siel is full of tardnaggets who barely speak english or understand the gamemaster's instructions.

That is why the two servers' event methods cannot be compared.

That is very very true. I couldnt host some of the events I host on Crystal for the Gamez players. It just wouldnt work. GM's on Crystal have it way easier than the ones on Gamez for sure.

 

You then have the issue with gear.......... *cough* (once my team was filled with anuhart+some not even 55 vs full ABG team GG)
