Ping Issues

My ping has fluctuated a lot lately which I attributed to the road works in the area affecting my ISP, but right now its pretty much fixed so I can't blame that anymore.

It was at a consistent 150ms though 200ish now which is fine but well:



Anyone else experiencing this?

P.S. it's not just some bug in the ping function, because I actually feel the severe lag that comes when it gets really high.

 

Same here, I tough its becasue of Torrent first, but then I stopped using it and it still happened, it happens like 2 times a day to me

 

I am from time to time. I'll get a little lag, and my Ping will suddenly rocket up to like 1k+ ms, and then go back to normal after I check again.

 

Happened once in a while in the past and I can tolerate it but now =/

 

This made me to stop playing aion....

Yes! yes i am!

My highest ping of today is 8070216. Atm i can't even log in, i get stuck after entering my ID and password, i dont get in the character menu.

 

If u know the IP from gamez, try going to start > use and type CMD, then type ping [IP from gamez here without the []] /t
It keeps pinging gamez IP. See if the MS it shows there fluctuates aswell. If it does. The game itself is excluded.

If your behind a router, Try giving it a reset. Some routers(like my previous one) have some sort of cache wich can drop your internet connection if u download alot.(b ut this should on ly be the case if your Ping stays high, so i doubt this will work. Still worth a try tho)


EDIT: Did u try multiple speedtests and see what they say?
Are u using any programs like leatrix, battleping etc? Did u try removing them, check ms then and if its still the same. install again?

 

Me too I use to have a ping from 12-56 maximum now im on 300 ping wtf :S

Yes reset my router many times.

Yep done pingtest/speed test and its fine.

I use leatrix and yes I removed it - tested - it was the same PUT IT BACK - THE SAME -

 

In Windows go to start.
if u have windows 7 u can click on "use" and type in cmd in the box that appears or u can type cmd in the search box inside your start menu.
When u did above, u should see a black box comming up where u can type stuff in it.
What u need to type there is the following:

Without the spaces in between at gamez aion link

Assuming Gamezaion website has the same IP or is at the same host as the actual gameserver, this should be fine.
The u should see alot of messages appear in the black bos. Watch where it says "MS".

The MS there isnt fluctuating badly at all. Did u try other games? Only with aion its this bad?

No, this is just to test if the connection to the gamezserver is good without the game present inside the connection

 

Yeah mine is normally being fixed around 130-200 on this PC, but recently it's jumping from 130 to 8-900'ish in a moment.
Hopefully this server restart solves it.

 

yeah my ping got to 700K epic ping

 

Server restart seems to have fixed it which is cool. Thread can be closed now.
