Ground PvP - 2

Re-creating the poll, I think this needs to be implemented, Air PvP has me bored out of my mind, farming mats for balic items is more interesting.

:: Strong Points:
• Very fun.
• More variety with PvP.
• Allows most, if not all classes to be balanced.
• A relatively simple addition that players would love.
• Gamezaion will become an even better PvP server.

:: Weak points:
• Would take longer to grind.
- Who grinds in rift zones in the first place? There's already a high risk of the opposite faction ganking / killing you.
• Takes longer to get to bosses.
- GamezAion is a PvP server, not PvE, which generally means, PvP has priority.
• We're going to get ground PvP in Balaurea in 2.0 anyways, do we need this implemented?
- Yes, updating to 1.9 took two months simply because it was a big update, 2.0 is an even bigger update, so expect 3 - 6 months for it to be implemented after September 7th, so do we need to wait that long for Ground PvP? I don't think so.
• Some players just simply hate ground PvP, which means you have PvP'd on the ground before, but you didn't like it.
- Then I recommend you vote "No", simply because you know what you're talking about.

:: Confused about something?
• You still can fly in Storm Circle / Main Cities, it's only everywhere else on the map that you can't fly.
• ONLY concerns the rift zones: Heiron & Beluslan.
Morheim & Eltnen are grind / quest areas so it may be a good idea to keep those freefly.

Abyss = Air PvP
Rift Zones = Ground PvP
Both sides are happy.

If you're the type of person to see that something like this simply has no chance to be implemented, then I suggest that you don't vote on either "Yes" or "No", I have a spot in the poll specially set for you.

Oh, if we get enough votes in, I'm planning to submit this suggestion in the "Please Submit Stuff you Want Added/Fixed in this thread., this thread is actually a dummy one, so the other one doesn't get cluttered up.

 

Uh, this has been attempted and failed before. If you want ground pvp, there's crystalaion. I don't think they'll change their minds at all.

 

I agree. Disable free-fly. Ground PVP > Flight PVP

 

Bearly any ground pvp at crystal.. if Any..

Need a map where people need/want to farm stuff. where you cant fly.

So you get some pvp action there^^

Oh, guys, I appreciate you saying that you would like ground pvp implemented, but the thread gets way too long if everyone posts that, let's keep it short and simple.

 

Uh, no. If you remember, if you were here, they created crystalaion exclusively so that there can be ground PvP there and not here. Since so many people QQ'ed and they had to make a new retail-like server just for them.

This is not meant to be retail-like, and it's not meant to be non-free fly PvP

 

The vids should help the argument. Honestly there is nothing better than fun ground pvp.

 

So we are encouraged to vote yes? It seems like you don't want anyone to vote no, which is the same thing that happened 1-1 1/2 months ago. We don't need another thread like this, we already had one before.

 

CrystalAion has the name "LOW RATE" next to it. Which clearly means it's targeted towards drops & leveling.

 

they created crystal aion to have a low rate server, it just happens to be no free fly. Drop the topic about crystal aion already, we're not voting for crystal.

 

Crystal aion is dead, and to top it all off, its not real ground pvp since its so dead. Gamezaion deserves to have this kind of fun pvp experience.

and dont say you dont knwo wat your talking about if you disagree. What if you simply prefer flight pvp? the games main shtick is that you can FLY.

No need to disable free fly.
Could get maps and disable the free flight there , like dredgion map.
There could be a solution to suit both Air and Ground PvP,I'm pretty sure about that.

OMG here it is. Abyss is free fly PVP and hieron/beluslan are GROUND pvp. It makes both parties happy. Stop being so selfish. If you don't like it you can pvp in the abyss.

 

its a nice solution since they will never disable free flight 100% on gamez..

but dred got so damn many mobs and its kinda small.. hard to get any space for some massiv pvp there

 

Actually, no its not. Theres Flyff and Perfect world if you lke free fly. Abyss is where the flight takes place in AION. And if you prefer flight pvp (meaning you've never experienced group v group ground pvp) then there is always the abyss for you.

 

And if you computer lags up in the abyss because of all the area thats loaded?

Though I do like the idea of ground PvP

 

I've never experienced extra lag in the abyss and I am usually very laggy. I think its unfair to silence the huge amount of people that enjoy an aspect of AION simply because greedy people want free fly everywhere. Rifting on ground pvp is one of the best parts of end game AION. Its unfair to take it out completely.

Its not like we are saying you will never have flight pvp. We are just adding another dimension of pvp. Go rift if you wanna fight on ground. Go core/upper/forts if you wanna pvp in air.
