I was fixing and eating dinner so i just saw this thread.. I have to agree, I've been here for some time and the amount of disrespect there is far worse then a public high school. In which sometimes that is where i feel like I am at reading majority of the posts here. I came on as a AM, then a s.mod when i had my daughter. I try to keep to my roots of how I was raised of treating others how i'd want to be treated and making sure people respected each other but then i get people saying im being too strict, or telling me what I should or shouldn't say, or im not strict enough. Gaming community or not, everyone here deserve's respect regardless. Im not saying you have to sugar coat how you feel but pick better words with out insulting each other to get the point across. Civil people gain more progress then angry people.

I would have to also agree with this which is why that thread will be deleted. This is a forum for gaming which is used for helping players, socializing with others whom also play, gain friendship/relationships , and have fun. It is however not a forum of " My penis is bigger than yours" ( Excuse my language) ...

Not everyone likes to put ppl on ignore. I, for one, refuse to put people on ignore if i dont need to. If I do, then well you done threatened me or are being far more disrespectful then I want to deal with...

Everyone has a big ego. Its depends on the person to decide if they feel its right to show it or not. And she is right. Majority of the people on this forum is always trying to one-up somebody. Why cant we for once, join hands and work with each other? Why is everything a competition? The only competition that should be happening is Elyos Vs Asmo.

I find this thread to be terribly confusing.

Our community, much like all gaming communities on the web really, has various groups of people with various intents. It's just nature that the vocal minority that likes to get under people's nails is the loudest group.

All in all though I've seen far worse than the few rowdy little buggers we have here although honestly in my experience I've found much of it seems to come to language barriers and miscommunication. We have an usually diverse community here though so I suppose miscommunication is to be expcted.

Of course then you have your self-titled "troll" crowd that no one really takes seriously although they seem to be the tamest of the bunch if we're being brutally honest here. Some people are, admittedly, just hostile and we do try to deal with them as much as possible. Using the report button helps with that =)

On a lighter note I do find it interesting this has been posted in Hot Spam, the forum most lenient towards less then desirable behaviour, rather than somewhere like that Serious Discussions forum we have. Is a bit trollbait-esque but sadly I'm too lazy to lock this right now.

I would suggest more strict implementation of the forum rules outside Hot Spam section but then again its just me.

Like i said, people should not stress their selves here, ignore people with just one click of the button and you will be home safe.

 

It really doesnt need to be closed. Its not crossing any boundaries.

Anyway, Gracie, I know from all the things you say to me on MSN how much you dislike all the disrespect and stupid people on the forums (or people acting stupid, either way), I'll do my best to keep it at bay <3 (in the sections I can).
