mmmmm for that one i cant tell honestly... I started in march 2010, that was my char in another server back in1.5 when anuhart was the sh1t... but due to many reason I finished it this year if I remember well.... but a work like that will take around a week, its slow to draw with detail all the engraved patterns in the armor.

Everyone likes that one the most... its a funny experiment, its actually done in 3D as an oclussion image and then overpainted in photoshop... :)

    Aw.. i see
Well i downloaded some programs long ago and i haven't used any of them yet.
MAXON Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects. (CS5 if i remember right)
I got Photoshop CS5 too , it's the only program i use (and i fail at it hard.. T_T)
Did you use MAXON C4D to create the 3d image?

No, I use 3Dsmax. Its easier to do the modeling, at least for me.

There are draws like the last one that are made just as draws.... however, given the circumstances you can use a 3d modeling tool to make the escenary or an object that has a complex perspective of geometry... making it feel "fake" as a shape if done only by hand.... its not imposible, but very time consuming and you require amazing eyes to make the perspective right, with only your hands. When you are done with the 3d you render a basic light setting and then just use the jpg as a base in photoshop to redraw and paint over. Its a help.

    3dsmax.
Its a very simple modeling thecnique, so it isnt necesary to be good at the software, just to know what you wanna do.

Just finished this... I grew up seeing Macross (Robotech as it was know in the US) and it was a defining factor in what i wanted to do when i was an adult... finally i found myself the time and place to do one of these jewels of the past that still cause me joy and awe... anyway, hope its of the liking of the viewer.
