Which is better to go for ? So far I don't have either of the MS and

    With Greatsword:
    Parry: 2080
    Block: 1055

    With Mace+Shield:
    Parry: 1493
    Block: 2252

Which means it sort of depends on my primary weapon I'll use. I'd like to have GS as my primary weapon but I believe I'll have to switch to Mace+Shield quite often so it won't really help. What do you suggest ?

MCD Greatsword + Parry = Ownage.

Why MCD, if I may ask? Is there something special at the MCD GS?

Thanks. By the way, do you guys think it would be better to go 5x[2x Crit +17 + 4x Parry +27] (5 set pieces, 6 slots) or 5x Full Parry +27 ?

I don't think that you need Crit as a Temp. You should stay on parry, but if you want some more damage (crit dmg), you can surely socket some crit.

Block its capped at 50% wen parry its capped at 40% . So i'll say that block its better . + u take less dmg wen u are blocking a hit than wen you parry .
But ofc the gs its good for the dmg . But u see ... as templars got more usefull skills wen they are useing a shield ( ~ the path to Break power ) . You can have both - if u are fast enaught to change the weapons in battle . If u are not ... then u should go for shield .

If you want to survive longer , and take less damage , go for block.

5x[2xCrit + 4x Parry] sounds good, remember to socket Crit on Greatsword too.

My GS is full Crit (9 slots -> 5-slot Elder GS fused with 4-slot Pacification GS... I know it's nothing much but I can live with that till I get a better one. My number one priority now is getting armor - Trade link in siggy)

I don't think it's wise to get a Parry build on that set, right now.

It's not the set, it's the Greatsword. MCD has bonus parry... Try Crit + Attack, but a lot of crit. D:

That's how it's supposed to be, glads can't beat templars in 1v1. At least good templars.

IF MR would be fixed, we'd resist only half of attacks, so most of the CC/Debuffs would pass.
