Hmm fun issue >.<

So, we all know about the good ol' 'Party DC bug' well for some reason, for me, its going a little further >.> Whenever I join a party, my internet connection gets completely blocked for about 20 minutes. turning the router on n off doesn't work or anything, only restarting my computer fully :S

The stupid thing is, my brother manages to stay on the net and the router still says there is internet connection :S Anoying thing is, this only ever happens when I join a party :S

Then after I get the internet back, I get the good ol' ''Failed to connect to Game server'' about 3 times before it will let me log back in XD

Any idea on how to fix this? I've ran virus scans, repaired my client(2.5.0.3), redownloaded all the item.pak, gamez launcher etc. And it still does the same :S

Hope somebody can help, its rather anoying to lose the net for 20mins >.>

Well there was a rumour on forums saying that if your name has 6 characters or less you don't get the group bug. My character's name on siel is 9 characters long, while my two friends had characters of 6 and 5, they didn't get dc in group while I did. It's just a rumour.. but i would try making a new character (doesn't have to be leveled) with less than 6 letters in it's name then try grouping :3

Tried it with a character with 5 characters, still does the same, it isn't just the normal DC its my full internet connection goes :S

Maybe you just need servers to be restarted... ? xD

I'm not sure, this is strange x.x

 

Possible I suppose, just don't see why partying on aion would completely remove my internet connection from my PC :S

PS: My mates just tried it, got same length name as mine, and its fine for her :S

 

I had this strange thing before with if i stopped on the Gamez Website for too long, i couldn't connect until i reset my router.. But that's fixed now. Maybe it's fail british internet ? XD

Well it is Sky broadband, so probably XD Sky seems to fail a heck of a lot :S

Maybe try making a new account and then make a new character from there with less than 6 characters and try joining group ? Maybe it's a bug with your account.

 

well i had similiar isseus running win7 32 bit version but i wasnt too happy about it tho so i formated and reinstalled win7 64 bit version i did al updates except the service pack 1 dont know if its usefull tho ^^ but still my system is running a lot more stable i installed the aion EU client cuz i have the cd`s from it ^^ and changed the AionEU map into Aion en set launcher to NA the downgraded my client to 2.5.0.3 and i dont have any crashes , party buggs yet (for about 2 weeks ) maybe a suggestion is to instal win 7 64 if u dont have it yet otherwise reinstall the aion client hope this can help u regards

Tried it with my other account and it worked fine, think its just this 1 :S

 

Something wrong with your account it seems then o.o;;

When you get this weird connection loss, try logging into your other account

 

I can't, cus I lose my entier internet connection for about 20 minutes can't even load google unless I restard my PC and router :S

hmmmm i think the group bug was fixed last week it doesnt happen any group bug to me , maybe its ur computer

 

I was thinking that too, but it only effects one account thats what's strange about it
