I think It's still preety messed up .....

 

Magic resist seems ok, but the Magic accuracy of skills is wrong. (Physical ones which carry debuff). Debuffs are all MA based in retail aion, but only a small amount are in gamez aion. Hopefully it will get fixed, because it is an important stat and ncsoft intended it to be that way.

 

It only works against magic spells and a very few physical debuffs right now, silence arrow to name one. It should of course affect ALL physical debuffs too. (Except knockdown, knockback, spin).

 

I'm still waiting for that Entangling shot to be fixed ( magical effect ) . >.>

well on gamez cannot be everything like on retail why? on retail isn't running 99% people of the server with full mr 2k+ so if you will make everything MA based then ranger(example) with 1k ma have 0% chance to stun/sleep/silence/root someone? stupid isn't it? that's my opinion

 

Not just Ranger o.e.. Chanter and Sin as well. I socket a little Macc now though, lol.

True, but I wouldn't say everyone sockets MR and if they do, I just switch to my MR set as well :3

 

it entangels, a sorc has it too and we use magic, so rangers snair/entange should be magic too.

 

Magic Resist works the other way that it does here.

 

merciless cleric with tons of MR that even my MA set+staff+food couldnt pierce tanked me today until his legionmates came to rape me

nop your wrong... not all debuffs are ma based... spins and nockdown are acc phyc debuffs.. so as counteratkstun and stuning shot arrow

 

I posted below that post saying that knockdown, spin, knockback are not MA/MR based. Besides they arent classed as debuff, more like physical altered state or something.

 

Sleep Arrow: I shoot you in the butt with a tranquilizer dart and you fall asleep.
Entangling: I shoot at your legs with an arrow with a rope attached to it to slow you down.

Where's the magic in that?

certain stuns are not magic based, same as certain physical debuffs. For example, someone with MR resisting divine justice (a skill from templar that does magical dmg and stuns) vs shield counter (a skill that does physical dmg and stuns). In this case, the user resisted both the dmg and stun from divine justice, but not from shield counter. Also, physical debuffs from skills like weakening blow, blunting blow, etc never got resisted in retail. There has been debates about dazzling blow in retail forums back then though. It never got resisted in PvP, but it has been resisted by bosses. Not too sure about the outcome as I thought it was a pointless argument to compare PvP to PvE situations.
