Godstone Resists?

At what point of MR do godstones become resistable? I was under the impression godstones were not resistable but was told today by an AM that they were. In which case any MR stacking player in full abg can completely negate the only silence or blind I have available? I tested it on my brothers cleric who has 2338 MR and he resisted 10/10 procs or my godstone is bugged. Can someone please confirm or deny this

 

wow, so how did you know that it got resisted? like i think all you would see is the "Blind Godstone has been activated".

 

I dueled him and auto attacked till it went off 10 times. He never got the silence debuff when the "proc" happened. So either my godstone is bugged, or he is resisting the effects. If it is the second one, I'm about to quit playing since it just nullified my class vs any magic based class or healer.

My Godstone also never seems to go off. My 5% silence goes off three times as much on Retail, lul.

 

Wow thats really pretty lame. So any MR stacker with 2200+ mr is perma immune to godstones. Time to reroll to mage like every other person in this game

If you are good in your class you should stay as that class and try to find how can you defeat a player with MR Set. Try a different manastones build ~

 

Like I say with anyone else. If you care that much about MR, socket some Macc. I socketed some Macc, even an extra 100 does wonders. I'm not rerolling just because my OP 10% Silence/Blind doesn't go off 24/7. Honestly, it's not good if you just rely on those two god stones, or any god stone for that matter. But yes, the Godstones are a little off.

 

Godstones were always meant to be magic resist based.

bro they weren't meant to be resisted at all lol, Is a fail from NCSoft trust me haha (Im trying to find that thread in Aionsource where NCSoft say they will change god stones proc), The reason they are imbued to the weapon is to affect the player directly to an abnormal state with no Magic resist/spell dodging etc interference.

Godstones were always meant to be resisted. They are magical debuffs. Slow, silence, blind etc. Magical debuffs, thus based on your magical acc. Just because it is a godstone which causes the magical debuff doesnt mean that its not MA/MR based. If i remember right, in retail only paralyze wasnt MA/MR based as it is altered state.

Yes because that is just exactly the same as a physical attack carrying a debuff. (Take for example entangling shot). Its a physical attack, with a magical debuff. If you are an assassin, with OaA and MA slotted, then your godstones have a good chance of procccing ofc. If you are using paralyze, they should proc regardless of your MA, as it is not considered debuff.

 

At 2,2k mres I cant resist godstones, if its true they can be resisted uhm. But that would be really bad idea.

 

The problem isn't the godstone proccing or not proccing. The problem is specific classes that can stack MR without hindering themselves or their class can become immune to the proc. I myself play a gladiator, I have played the class since launch on retail. The entire basis of using a silence godstone is to combat casters, specifically healers. Telling me to socket MAcc in order for my godstone to proc is just rediculous. My class isn't designed to work on magical accuracy. No melee is except sins who just got screwed from day 1. Without the ability for my godstone to proc is it physically impossible for me to kill a cleric or chanter in full abg. If any glads out there think otherwise prove me wrong, but I've dueled enough of them and fought them in Heiron to know it won't happen if they aren't complete idiots. It has nothing to do with me being bad at my class, I know this class inside and out I've been playing it for years now. Fact is, if they have enough MR and know how to kite me I can't and won't kill them. :annoyed:
