Ranger Build

umm.. still now i dunno what the best build for ranger..

what happen if u put all attack on bow and armor? crit up using scroll and attack..

accuracy up using buff..

 

i just made a ranger yesterday.

and my build is full crit+17 on my masta bow fuse with app bow,
eat set
atk +5 on jacket and pants
accu +27 on shoulder and gloves
crit +17 on boots
AT crit acc +belt+hat


and its good. can kill other scout class easily, hard time on glady since it has high HP/Deff and healing buff but i can kill some.
vs mage type, if i destroy its iron skin fast, then no problem killing them after. (if im not dead yet)
vs priest type, i can kill cleric a bit easy than chanters.

+5 attack on rangers seems a bit useless now. so change atk to HP
HP/Crit Build is good for non ABG users i think

 

Full attack +5 abg armor set, full crit+17 abg bow+fuse,abg accesory set =726 attack 583 crit 2300+ accuracy without buff(2500+with buf but without food)its enough i'd say

 

My ranger is full Attack +5 socket and with a Major Crit Strike Scroll my Crit is 500+ thats more than enough.

 

3 parts MR and 2 parts att den bow crit all..for survival mode..haha..

 

For what does a ranger need MR or HP? It's useless cuz a ranger is to pick an enemy out and kill him, it's not a temp/glad or aoe class, so what you need is full dmg, nothing else. When I PvP I always pick someone out and hitting full damage on him.

 

Use 3 ABG Leather (set) if possible

First set
``` 5 parts use HP+95 / Weapon Crit+27

Second set
``` 3 parts use MR , 2 parts Accuracy / Weapon Att / Crit = i always use this, just to escape traps and snares

Third set (this is the best set for zeging)

``` 5 parts use Att + 5 / Weapon Attack / Crit (not worth it build )

 

you'll get owned in 1on1 duel for sure
why you putting MS attacks if you have buffs
Devotion+beastial + crit buffs plus etc.

 

well u choose to be a hitter..but i always go on solo and meet glads and sorcs..

 

I've been playing ranger for long time so I'll recommend an built for you.FULL ATK on weapon & armorFULL MR on weapon & armorMore but you should find it out yourself."NOTE"YOU DON'T NEED ANY CRITICAL!!! (Food + Crit scroll are enough)

 

Who does more damage? A dead ranger or a living ranger?

HP is mostly stacked for group PvP reasons. Having that little extra HP can save you from dying and lets your cleric heal you up. But if you die, it's game over. 0 dmg.

It's all about surviving spikes.

But casual players or players who don't know much about PvP always have that "I need to go full dmg build" attitude, so I can't really blame you.

atk ms wont help much in PvP.
atm with not working strike resist, u only need 500+ crit. but when it got fixed. most ppl have 300 - 400 strike resist. u will need more crit.
now MR got fixed. so ur chance to land a stun, slow, root, sleep, trap will be super low (except KB) so stacking MA is not a bad idea. more effect on low MR player (1500 MA can hit up to 1900MR with a decent rate)
HP and MR can use for all class. but half way MR built only help u against physical class (u can run quite freely w/o being stun, slow) but wont help against caster.
so basically u need crit (about 3 parts out of 7) and 1 of MR/ HP/ MA. depend on ur style

 

This is all true

 

Scout classes are supposed to hide then destroy their enemy as fast as possible. Hp will do nothing but increase the time of a fight, if you can kite you won't need it. Attack/crit imo is the best. Faster people die the better.

 

That's a 1v1 solo build, but yeah, it works. (good for solo pvp videos *looks-into-your-direction* ^^)

For group pvp it's completely different (that's not the most effective one).

even for solo, i found crit/hp a way more usefull than crit/atk.

well ablazed, i was like you before (aky can say it ^^). i wanted always more dps etc, but a day i just tried many other builds, and many stigma builds ofc too.
the only thing i found better than my old build was this crit/hp way to pvp solo.(on gamez aion).
don't forget you play on gamez aion, so you must adapt to this server, you can't make a crit/mr like on retail...

on zergs, it's really helpfull cuz you can take more risks...to take more kills (almost tank, just a bit )

playing solo, 2abg v 1abg, would be your maximum with the crit/atk build+your stigma build.
with a crit/hp build+another stigma build, you can increase this amount, i mean you could 3V1 and sometimes 4V1 with your ranger...

you seem to love making videos while showing your "skill" (humhum ^^), so playing this way, would be better for you, IMO.

after all, i don't care anymore about this game, but if i can just help ppl sometimes...i'm ok :wink:

well, just mind to try it one day, it costs nothing to try the other builds, just being patient to farm stones
just put your atk stones off and take some hp, your dps wont decrease that much, but your survability will rise like hell !
(because atk doesn't influence the ranger's dps that much, not like sins...) :lol:

My current build is:
taken crit till 755
then i took one piece with atk stones
the rest is stacked with hp stones

in the end i don't give a shit about you, but this build could help you to increase your skill, so for this reason, and only this one, i try to help you... =)

Yes, I remember the discussion we had this January.
You said exactly the same thing Ablazed just said, you wanted to be full Atk/Crit.

And I was arguing with you on Mumble or Teamspeak that this is purely a solo build and it's not as effective as HP/Crit.

But meh, we're playing on a private server, most of the people are "normal" players, not PvP freaks. They don't think a lot about their builds and most of them will ignore this thread and go their own way ^^

 

I do attack because I prefer doing more than 1k dmg on geared temps. 2k hp wont save you from a 5k bp crit. Hp wont save me from sins silence godstone stun lock, nor will an extended fight with a sm go well. Don't even get me started on good clerics. I only find hp/crit good for fighting glads. Any other class, the faster the kill the better.
