Help prove that physical defense is bugged on Gamez Aion!

Alright well after seeing this post by Alente;

I decided that proving physical defense is bugged atm would be worth a shot! I don't believe that video footage from retail is necessary because the correct formula for physical defense is already posted on retail forums, however if someone could help record footage of a naked gladiator being auto attacked versus an armored gladiator and telling us the before and after Physical Defense that would be great.

Here is a stickied thread with a whole bunch of useful information, with the most important being the physical defense formula

As you can see from the formula posted above, every 100 defense should equal 10 damage mitigated HOWEVER this is not the case on Gamez Aion.

Here are example videos of me auto attacking a full ABG cloth user and then a full ABG plate user. I have 2 abg weapons along with full abg accessories minus the belt which is EAT.

Full ABG plate: full abg plate - Xfire Video As you can see half the time I'm doing 0 damage and the other half I'm critting for 100 on average

Now here is a video of me hitting the same sorcerer but now with Elemental Screen a chanter buff that increases physical defense by 2,000 which should theoretically decrease physical damage taken by 200.

As you can see from the video that is NOT the case at all. Instead of mitigating 200 physical damage like it should according to the formula, it mitigated 400+ damage. I went from critting for 20 damage to critting for 445 damage after the buff ended.

Recording a video of me attacking the gladiator with elemental screen up would be pointless as I would just be doing 0 damage the whole time the buff is up.

This is sufficient proof that the physical defense formula on gamez aion is incorrect atm, but it would be useful if someone could test this on retail aion and post a video to help prove it.

Not sure what you mean by that. Are you asking why I recorded me attacking a gladiator? It was to show that my damage against a plate user was non-existent.

 

Did you consider the pvp def % of the abg? and also here there is a pvp dmg reduction working... so I dont know if you put that into consideration. Anyway, if there is an issue with pdef, nice you are adressing it.

I wasn't picking on chanters that isn't of the point of my thread, this thread if all goes well will actually help increase chanters damage lol...

Sorry, have yet to read the whole thread. Alt tabbed for a second to look.

 

TLDR version, melee classes are doing less damage than they should be doing. So, problem gets fixed, chanters do more damage

In this case i am totally agree with you. And this is the only reason i quite my Sin. I also tested on full abg glady ( my friend Nab)
and was kinda surprised to see 1 dmg or 4 crits. Even when i used all my buffs i crited him for 100 to 200 as max.

So i really hope someone will look in to this problem !

there is indeed a issue regarding defense system in gamez,but use mastarius gear since it doesnt has any pvp reduciton..would be more accurate
