Why is it so hard to finish Dark Poeta now, All I want is the Tahabata GS, Tahabata Sword and Anuharts Visor, these three are the last missing items to complete my Dark Poeta Set but it seems impossible to get. There are only few people who like to go to DP nowadays, because its very hard to complete.next you need 20k points for tahabata pyrelord to appear.third there are bugs inside the game and its impossible to enter the gate T_T. all that remains is to donate! which I dont mind but its still different when you worked for it.....

    dark poeta... hard?

did that just go in the same sentence!?

firstly, the visor isn't a drop. it's obtained via quest.
secondly, 20k points is not hard to obtain. all bosses + the captains and tada! you've hit 20k.
thirdly, there are no bugs stopping you from obtaining what you want. unless your laziness is a bug. in which case, there's no fix.

Dark Poeta here is only 10% of the difficulty of retail and that goes for all the other instances too.
If you can't even complete the most basic of instances in Aion, then you've got no hope in this game unfortunately.

I am not a experience player here, but i can roughly understand how you feel. It's just like " Hey, i been putting so much effort although it's just a game, when am i able to get those good equips? " .Something like that.

In MY own opinion, the game aren't really "newcomer-friendly"... It takes hell lots of patient to get a good standard equipments ( Talking about non-donators ).

About the Tahabata weapons.. You don't have to get it by going through the instance, you can trade for it. That's one way. Unable to trade these items? Vote for 1.5k credits and get a VIP membership :) It just takes alittle more patient and time to get another 1.5k credits. Once your a VIP member, you can even go to "Reshanta" -> "Eye of reshanta" -> "divine fortress" to do the VIP instance "Abyssal Splinter". There's a boss inside that drops LOTS of eternal weapon , "Yamennes's ***" .

From there, you can try to find a player who is interested in your weapon (yamennes) to trade for your wished weapon (Tahabata)! By then, you can even have yam weapon & tahabata weap + ur VIP member, you could trade almost anything.

I am sure there is lots of way to get your desire weapon "tahabata", but this is just 1 of a way i can suggest :) .

Last but not least, not everyone in the world are born smart or talented tht able to complete the DP with a S rank without sweat or in their very first run. It also takes good equipments, effort, teamwork, coordination and so on. Always keep the ego down.. As long as you're determine, i am sure you can do it. ;)

Just take your time & enjoy. Cheers

true that. The difficulty of the instances in gamez is NOTHING like retail (retail is much harder). Aside from that..most of the players I've seen that are "good" in PvP skillwise come from retail. I believe one of the reasons behind this is that a few of the instances in retail require you to use your brain, hence learn your class.

I found the need to object. To be honest, I even found Abyssal Splinter easier than Dark Poeta now since I don't need to rush and finish all the boss within 2hrs., get 1 hitted by the 2nd mob like in Dark Poeta and I don't need points just to see Yamennes. What I am saying is, yes it is just Dark Poeta but how come it is much harder than Abyssal Splinter??

And we are talking about new comers here. People who just played and apparently wearing 14 days set. Include the massive issue of Ninja looting as what Rangorax said which is until now no solution, no rule against it as well. For new comers it is really harder now to obtain decent items specially now that they can't rely to strangers because it is hard to trust people nowadays when it comes to instances.

As of the author, I'd suggest to disregard DP and go Abyssal Splinter instead. The sets might not have stats bonus but it is much much better than Anuhart. Same goes with the weapons, and with the looks, 100% much better. Learn to make friends in-game, join a good legion with people you can trust, and ask them to go to instances with you with the assurance of not being ninja looted. Learn crafting, consumables, foods, sets (tailoring is hard so go for alchemy) and sell them.

When i started on gamez, i knew nobody.

I started off with a cleric. Somewhat the least gear dependent in PVE.
as long as you can heal, its generally okay and it's the best solo class.
It's always needed as most people choose dps classes so it's a good starting point on gamez.

I did Dark Poeta 2 man the very first time with a sin tanking whilst wearing the 14 day rental gear at level 50.
I didnt aim for S class as i knew i needed armor but within 1 or 2 runs, i had the full anuhart cleric set.

I didn't have VIP in the first few weeks as i had to vote for the credits to do so and i refuse to donate so i knew i needed to make something worth trading. So i leveled my alchemy and started trading scrolls for kinah and items.
I'd trade 500 scrolls for a taha weapon for example or i'd trade for other essential items.

I've been playing here on gamez for only 2 months and now each of my 4 L55 toons are geared in EAT or better, and have several sets each and pretty much best weapons for each class.

All this was done without donating.

So whoever is complaining about not being able to gear up in a game that's only 10% of the difficulty of what its meant to be, is just being lazy.

Yeah its hard to farm armors for yourself if its your first time in the game and some instances in aion requires a group to enter. We must admit that a newbie players or some people have a hard time coping easily for a new environment and they dont know what to do and always seek some guidance and help that most players ignored.

Thank God theres so many kind people here on the forums/ingame that might help newbies if you dont have any friends/legion at all. Example of this is Dimi, just meet her requirements and post here in her thread and she might help you with gears.
