Alas! I was able to find a place to post such thread!

Good day fellows! (This usually comes at the very first part of the thread, sorry for being too excited)

I've been wanting to make a thread about my greatest hobby + part time work, which is about Photography but I was having troubles on where to put it (seems so much of an outcast to put it somewhere I feel like since the usual threads I see are about signatures).

This thread will serve for PRO and of course NON-PRO (which where I am categorized) a hang out thread and where to post their award winning shots!

Q: Do I need to post a shot taken from a DSLR only??
A: Not necessarily. I can show you that even a 5mp camera phone can show full details of what you want to capture.

Q: Any rules in this thread??
A: Yes we have! But they are not hard to follow.

RULES:

* NO RIPPING! (You are only allowed to post your own photos, not any kinds of photos from Google. This is not a contest thread, this is a discussion/show off thread)
* Criticisms?? Make it constructive and not offending.
* No flaming!
* RESPECT someone's perception and beliefs about Photography! (This is not a debate thread about Photography and what it should be in your own opinion. You can share what you think about it but NEVER contradict someone!)

* Sorry for a low quality photos, I grabbed all of it from my Photography site since I am not in my working PC now. I will be replacing them with the original photos once I am there.

* I am not a PRO Photographer.

* Some of the photos are edited with Photoshop to enhance the photo and expose whatever is needed to expose and add some emotions to the photos.

* If you're going to ask, what camera I am using, I am a proud Nikon and d5000 user, with 18-55mm and 18-200mm f/3.5 -5.6 G VR, extendable tubes, and set filters.

This rose is a gift from my dad-in-law yesterday. He really knows what I like (my husband keeps updating him) and so he picked me a fresh rose from the backyard. I am now keeping it in a vase with water to keep it alive for some days. I am planning to keep this rose, put it in a very big book, and check on it after some years This rose doesn't differ with the flowers my mom use to take care of in our balcony in Philippines. This made me miss her more. What I know is the men in my life are very sweet

Right now, while the rain is pouring really hard, my husband and I decided to simply enjoy the cold breeze of the air from our open window and enjoy this simple, easy to make drink which is something I can consider one of the best drinks I have ever drink - Frappe.

What I learned here in Greece, Frappe doesn't have to be Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Dolce Latte`, etc. (which is something I really got used to when I was still living in my home land). But since I moved here I learned that I will not really have a hard time adjusting in terms of its culture, lifestyle, etc. because - Plenty of people here smokes (like me), people here loves coffee (just like me too), people here enjoys and always practices the word Freedom (just like me again)

Here is an another shot I took yesterday.
My father-in-law brought in our house a very cute, and slow Turtle. I do not know what kind exactly it is (I think just like other animals there are different kinds of Turtles) but it doesn't bite so I think it is something you can keep as a pet. It was a gift to him so he showed it to us. It shit a lot by the way. So at least before the Turtle leaves, I made it to the point to take a photo of it as a remembrance

To be honest (and please keep it a secret), I am a very lazy person! I am so lazy to check youtube or some sites that offers good Photo editing tutorials. The Moss' edit is an edit I learned from this site (black and white background, colored focal/subject) but took me a day to finish and understand (I had to read the tutorial and I am so lazy to open Photoshop and understand the steps and the commands). I didn't even pursue my Signature/Photo manipulating making because of lazyness. LOL!

I've always been fascinated by photography.. everytime i get my hands on anything that can take photos like Cellphones, Digi cams, etc.. i take pictures of anything that catches my interest more likely trees flowers landscapes somethin like that.. and people too, well only a few though.

Oh LOL! I do a lot of facial edits since I am mostly taking photos for I.D's, etc.?? ROFL! (Part time)

I was having second thoughts making this, posting my work around the community because I am really scared to be criticized. But when I talked to my mom the other day asking her about how to make my skill better, she said having my works criticized will really help a lot. Well, mommah knows best so I became really eager to know where to post this kind of thread

with your PS skill i guess you could do manipulation though.. Just a bit confusing in choosing the stocks. I haz some ideas too, but lazy to google all the stock images i want... Also, i don't hav enough inspiration for that, not yet for now :'(

When it is about inspiration? Probably one of the hard things that I have to find to pursue my hobby. It is something I lack so much when it comes on making signatures, Photoshopping.
