Trading

Lately I've seen a lot of "ADD" trades where people request more than would be the equal priced item (for example trading ABG Spear to ABG GS + Veille's Longbow. Just to let you know, I invented that example (in case someone was actually trading that and got offended)). So, what do you think ? Should trading mean profit or should it be equal ?

IMO it should be equal as profit for one side means loss for the other one. To be honest, I can't imagine profit-profit situation.

 

you trade if you feel necessary and don't force your will in someone.

if you're looking for a profit trade wait for it same goes with if you need something. in trades patience is a virtue.

Well , Equal... but you'll have to wait as jj01185 said. I personally give more than i should usually to make trades fast cuz im bored , but then i regret it xD

 

If you ask me, if offer is good, but I dont need it at all, I say add, but well, kind of stupid people that say "WTT ABG SET for ABG SET+8 ABG WEAPONS" are really mad, tho I wonder how they dont event know no one will do the trade.

Also, I dont have problem adding, if someone got something what I really need and he doesnt really need my offer.

 

Trading is dependent.
Sometimes you can make a profit, sometimes it is equal. It really depends on the situation at hand.

 

Exactly what Petro and Cherry said..If i realy want something ill add to get that item faster even if i know i might regret that later.
Like i said before if player 1 want abg helm and he is offering abg hat and in that time i had 2 helm and i am willing to trade one of my helms for his hat(in this case he is the one who need helm) and i've offered him my helm but he wanted add for something that i dont need at all.IMO his behavior is childish and greedy.

 

So do I. I tend to pay/offer slightly more than the items are worth just to speed things up. I get to significant profit-loss situations only when I desperately need something really fast but this hasn't happened to me on Aion yet (it did on a few other MMOs though). As for selling I'm quite impatient so I also tend to make the item cheaper than it really is (or at least cheaper than all the other offers - for example in Trade Broker).

I've traded stormwings shield for abg dagger, 5b kinah for 2k credits, 2x yamenne swords for 2 abg crit acc. Yay for profits =)

 

People depend on profits, other wise they would go no where.

 

Like exstendibles atm, they are hard to get or u cant get them , but anyway , i got a masteriius sword and some items for my Black ice spear, it's a profit, but i got it offerd not asking for a Donation shop item tho.

You can say that. let me put it this way. there are people who trade for profit - they don't really need a certain item they just trade to gain and then trade it again ( they are the people who asks for an add) there are also people who trade to obtain a certain item (they are the people who are more likely to add by themselves) and there are people who trade just for the sake of trading - they are the people who trade without a certain need or want; and just wait to see another interesting trade ( they are the people who is more likely to ask for an equal deal) just imagine them meeting each other in a trade thread and you'll understand the trend., But of course this is not true to everyone and every situation., MOST people wanted to trade equal items of course., why would they want to add if they can have it equally., but as i've said there are people who wanted profit (who doesn't want profit?) adding is fine but some traders are RETARDED and asks for CRAZY ADDS which is very unreasonable., In the end it's really up to the person to deal or not, it's their prerogative what to prioritize o find a better trade.,
