i'd say, this is how your mind reacts but actually you're not controlling it.^^
you'll be sayin that you can control it when you are awake maybe making imaginations but controlling your dream in deep sleep, you can't .

It is possible indeed, search about the technique called MILD, not all of it may be true, but if you do have a good memory(remember most of your dreams) and keep saying to yourself all day 1 in 1 hour "Is this a dream ?" then try to change the room your in, eventually, in your dreams you will say that, and you will know thats a dream
In my cases yes, i can control it and change as i like, the bad thing is that when i start to make so much shit that it goes out of control and turns into a ****ed up nightmare

This is a very interesting point of view and I would completely agree.

Now, for those of you that can't remember your dreams well but you may want to try lucid dreaming sometime, heres what you should do:
    • First of all and quite possibly the most important step, make sure there's some easily accessible (something you can reach to just fine in the middle of the night without much effort) desk, stool, cabinet, dresser, etc.
    • Put a notebook and a pen on said desk/stool/cabinet/whatever.
    • As SOON as you wake up, write down any dreams you can remember having.
    • Once you're done writing down the dream, write down what you were thinking about the previous day/night, major things that happened.
The reason your notebook and pen have to be extremely close is because dreams are only stored in your short term memory, so naturally you forget them extremely fast. If your mind has to process several different thoughts after waking up to get to the notebook, by the time you get it you will likely have forgotten a large portion of the dream.

Anyway, the way this works is the repetition from writing it down will make you remember it, it'll be stored in long-term memory instead. At first you will be terrible and you won't be able to remember much, what you write down will be foggy and essentially like a puzzle and half of it has been hidden, the rest scattered. After a bit of time of doing this, however, your memory of dreams will have greatly improved and you will almost be able to write every single detail from each of your dreams.

After accomplishing that, you'll start seeing a pattern in your thought processes and when/why you have certain dreams. You'll see how real life events effect what you dream about every night, since in essence, dreaming is the process of your subconscious trying to make sense of your daily experiences (and somehow instead making a crazy mess for your mind xD). Its interesting enough to see this process, but after that you can also start to recognize more easily when you're dreaming. Then it becomes really easy to have lucid dreams. The rest is merely training your mind to let go of the barriers. Think of it as yourself being on a rollercoaster ride, but you're tied down to the seat. As soon as you can unbuckle yourself, you can decide where the rollercoaster goes. As Nujabes said, its more observing than controlling, but your dreams can go as far as your imagination can. It just takes practice (quite a bit), but its very fun and its a lovely experience.

It doesn't happen always, and not all my good dreams that I want a continuation gave me the opportunity to see them right after I went to sleep again. Happened many times to me, when I am not 100% awake. Like let's say I was dreaming and heard a very loud noise and I wouldn't mind knowing at all and just go back to sleep.

It's very possible and called "lucid dreaming". Artists have used this technique for a long time (Yesterday (song) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Like others have mentioned, you have to train yourself to be able to do this. This sounds like a great method: Wakefulness Makes Lucidity More Likely

Of course, this won't work for everybody, you will have to try. Personally I have never tried it. However I do regurarly get kind of lucid dreams during hypnogogia, my problem is that I get scared and force myself to realize that I am falling asleep which will result in me waking up completely. Sleep is scary..

    In my case

I somehow dream of the future,or something thats gonna happen

Its been happening for the past few years, once in 3 months or so
I would go to school, and i'll feel like i went through this before
the same, exact conversation, the same thing going on,the same thing falling onto the ground at that moment

    Its kinda weird

I believe you're most likely experiencing Déjà vu. To dream of the future, you'd have to realize what's gonna happen before it actually happens. Like "Wait a second, I feel like I've been through this before... If that's so, my phone is going to ring right about when this guy stands up. *guy stands up* *phone rings* "

Yes i've done it several times when I realize in the dream that I am dreaming or I realize I am dream that its one I've had before. This has only happened for me with nightmares though.

    A couple of examples -
I dreamed one night I was being chased by Jason Voorhees and he had me cornered. It must have frightened me so much that I realized I was having a nightmare and I ended it immediately by telling myself to wake up.

One night I was having a nightmare about this house that was like a maze and it was haunted and I was being chased by something in the house. I realized when I was hiding that I had had this nightmare in this house before and when I realized it I just decided to dream something else and I did.

Yes, it is possible to control your dreams, I can do it when I see that "this" or "that" is nearly impossible to happen in real life.

The thing is I do realize how silly that dream was only after I wake up. While dreaming it seems perfectly possible to me.

Like I find it perfectly realistic for a giant reaper-like thing to appear above my bed slowly trying to stab me with a dagger while I'm paralyzed and mute, until the moment I try so hard that I wake up and actually scream in real -.-

Yeah, I remember once I was on a killing spree, while I was thinking it was totally possible. But then, the feelings were feeling pretty real, so I didn't want to control my dream since it was nice D:

You also have to be really careful, because it's possible for your dead spouse to appear in those dreams and **** everything up.

    well
    you can control your dream
    but its kinda hard
cuz when ur dreaming you think ur in real life and this is not possible, and u dont think about to change the real life(dream) if u can, but if u have nighmares.. its more hard, cuz if you dream(nightmare) something that scares u, you are going in fear and u cant think to anything, just that fear, cant think that ur in a dream and "hey, lets change the monster's color, cuz its my dream"...so..its more harder when u have a nightmare
