[Complete] 2.6 Release Schedule & Special Shop! - Gamez/Crystal

2.6 - It's Almost Here!

Hello lovely people, today I'm happy to announce our timetable for implementing Aion version 2.6 across all shards. This will bring us back inline with retail and allow for you to update your clients fully.

Our current release schedule is as follows.

CrystalAion - Saturday 20th of August. (UPDATED)
GamezAion (Siel/Lumiel) - Sunday 21st of August. (UPDATED)

Please be aware that these dates are subject to change, especially Siel/Lumiel, should any significant bugs or issues be discovered. We trust this will not be an issue though.

I'd love to give you specific times during the day however this will largely depend on a number of factors and we'd rather not lock ourselves into an exact time, the realms will be updated as time permits to ensure the update is applied smoothly and with the highest standard of quality possible.

This patch will bring in a number of core and data pack related fixes to the server which will be announced on Saturday along with 2.6 compatibility, full 2.6 functionality (specifically Crucible Challenge) will be added further down the track. Seamlessly updating our core with compatibility for this new patch takes priority to ensure everyone continues having a smooth gameplay experience.

We'd also like to mention that for those of you who have been anxiously been awaiting the return of the Gamez Summer's End Shop that it will be making another appearance with this update featuring a host of brand new items! While I wont reveal the exact details just yet the Special Shop is a limited time addition to the credit store (accessed ingame via Menu - Support - Black Cloud Traders) and will be selling items and exclusive skins that are otherwise unavailable. The Summer's End Shop is a limited time offer and will only be available for 1-2 weeks so you'll need to get in quick as stocks are limited =p

Please be aware that on the dates listed above, you will need to update your Client using the NCSoft Launcher to version 2.6.x.x in order to connect to the realms.

Updating your Client before the dates above will cause problems connecting to the realms.

hey man i got a kind of problem i didnt download the client via nc soft launcher i got all the folders from a friend how can i update it? 0.o

 

You can install the NCSoft launcher, available here, and it should pick Aion up. Make sure it's in the right directory though (C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSoft\Aion) for 64x and (C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion) for 32x operating systems.

Remember not to update until we update our realms though!

I'm curious, will there be another AP reset like the last time we updated to 2.5?

 

We do not have any plans for an AP wipe at this stage no =)

No new skills/etc are being added, so it's not a big update... Nothing except a new instance changes for 2.6 :3
