    Chanters can tank a party, but the Cleric can outheal one and escape.

    im not sure tho lmao.. But i think he cant outheal the damage of six person.. And if he get caught by root or something , its the end of the line.. I hope to see some vid of chanter doing 1 pt fight :) ill post mine.. 12 noobies vs me.. Some me vs pt fights. My collection..

    Depends on what you enjoy more. I personally don't find casting classes as exciting. + You always have a group to heal 24/7 if you group pvp, and if you attempt to solo, you'll probably get run down by a zerg before you even manage to kill someone 1v1. But as a Chanter, people don't expect heals from you really in group pvp, and if they do... Well, you aren't pvping with great people. And for solo pvp, we can tank quite a bit + deal decent damage (From what I saw on the test server, for the 2.6 patch, Chanters will be back to hitting pretty nicely), so we have that going for us as well.

    actually jess.. make both.. make your set mr.. keep your magic jewels.. and play both! have a staff on chanter and on cleric mace-shield.. you can use mace shield on chanter too ... but the staff no.. you are going to fuse it

    I voted for Chanter though I say Cleric is great as well. For group PvPvE, Cleric is a must have but in terms of solo PvP, Chanter is better as Sorcerer can't block you and they can resist Cleric's attack most of the time. You can play defense so much with all the buffs, and the heals and mantras helps a lot in solo PvP as well. But a Cleric with defensive and offensive manastones in set is not bad as well. Been trying it lately and I hit long range, magical attacks, 24/7 root (with MACC I don't get resisted) and heals. Awesome against Gladiators :p But with Sorcerers it's pretty hard to deal with them and risk it with MACC set :p

    But lately I don't play my Chanter (which is my main) since it feels that the damage is a bit nerfed =.= Critical damage, 500? That's... absurd!
