2 computers 2 accounts 2 players 1 IP address

I looked through most of the threads and they all are about one person with 2 computers. I actually live with another player and we share a wireless signal. Is it true only one of us can vote per day? Sorry in advance if this was answered in another post. I'm still totally new to forums. I have been playing game for a LONG time and just never came to forums lol.

 

I'd assume unless you want to feel the potential wrath of Carl, only have one vote... changing IP = potential threat to someone else's IP and infringement of rules.

Although I'm sure if you talked things out you'd be able to get a deal where you can vote *******ly but if you go over 2 votes per thing a day you get instant banned from server.

Not sure though.

But until you get an A-OKAY, don't do it... please....

maybe using proxy to vote? not sure about it. i think it's better to ask Carl about it.

 

Do i just find carl in another thread and send him a message? should i screen cap both of us playing? or maybe pictures of both of us on computer with both players actually being competent lol. I'm not really sure what proof i can do. And if you look at when both accounts were made when they were online how they were online and everything you can tell it was actually two people and not someone dual boxing. hell half the time we do separate quest at same time so i know it can't even remotely look like i'm playing 2 systems lol.

 

I just sent him an email. hopefully I can give him some kind of proof. cause I voted with my account around 2 or so in morning maybe a little earlier. (on side note i don't recieve Kinah when i vote anyone know why to that?? ) and she tried to vote around 3 or so and she even had a joke that she didn't want to have to come back at 3 the next day cause we were sleepy as all get go lol. I am willing to randomly screen cap. video chat, ip browse, data share, or simply do screen view of computer if necessary. cause she wants that fox thingy as a pet and she can't get it. and I just want to be rich enough to buy my ninja stuff lol.

 

I always wondered if people got wrongfully banned this way for "multivoting", when it's really just two people sharing a connection.

 

u cant get banned for this coz the multivote protection stores a cookie in the pc that checks for the IP u vote from. since its 2 computers, the server will think u r 2 different people at 2 completely different geographic places. its fine, just find 1 proxy to vote from on the other pc

yeh i wish i would have known this. me and my bro play, and vote, and well, poof my account goes out the window....... i was like, wth. found out from a gm ingame on a new account that that is considered multivoting.... sent a message to carl, nothing back for 1.5 weeks now. dont do it, it kinda lame.

 

I say go ahead and use the proxy. As long as you aren't using it for 500 accounts, there isn't a problem.

 

do you use a router? each pc would generally have a different IP, you can check this using sites like whatismyrealip.com
i think there's also some additional checking done to prevent voting on same account again on same day, so like, if you voted from your home pc, then you go to the local cafe and try to vote again, it won't allow you.

 

I use 2 clients >.> one account with lv18s to buy Aethers ^_^ and transfer it to my Main.

 

Proxy?? i think u will get banned from it..

 

we have this problem too... me and my bro share an internet connection... and we both play aion... im the only one that votes
