Ideas for new/modified events. Choose your fav.

I came up with several ideas for new exciting events I think others would love to see in game.
These will need to be approved before we can get them going in game. I am giving the community
the chance to leave feedback on what they would like to see. The top 2 with the highest votes
will be brought up to try to get them incorporated. If there are any suggestions or ideas on how
to make these events better I would love to hear them.

Please read all the events before voting.

1. Quarterly Special Event (Needs a better name) - (Once every 3 months) - Host a kill that person event. The top 15 pvp players from each faction that are active a lot will be put on a list on the forum. For each person you kill on the list you will get one fabled item of your choice (Gear/weapons that are allowed to be given out (list of items available for the event would be posted in the thread as well). ie No ABG, etc. Besh, etc. ok) You must get a screenie proving you killed that person. So there is option # 1.

2. Class vs Class tournament/Mega battle - For this event there would be 2 parts to it.

2a. Class vs Class - There would be a sign up on the forum once a month or so along with date and time of the event so you can be sure to be online. Each player that signed up would fight others in their class in a duel until we have 3 undefeated players (per class). For every match won you would receive 10 silver medals, + 10 of each greater scroll. For a lost fight you would receive 25 silver medals + 10 mana stones of your choice. (I know the losing prize is greater than the winning prize. There's a point to it though.) If you lose a fight your out of the competition. (This should encourage players to want to pvp more and to get better at it. It also gives the top of each class bragging rights.) There would then be like a 3 day break in the event. (yes there's a point for this.)

2b. Each of the winning 3 class members of each faction will be entered in a huge battle of the best 24 elyos and the best 24 asmodians. It will be hosted like any other rvr with the exception of you knowing who you are playing with and being able to train together for a few days before the match. The winning faction would receive 100m kinah, 50 silver medals, 50 of each greater scroll, and 50 skill candies. The losing side would get half that.
So there is the 2nd event option.

3. Video contest - Once a week there would be a different video contest. There would be different topics to base each contest on. The staff would go through the videos and decide on 5 finalist which would be put up for the community to vote for. The winner would receive either a skin otherwise unavailable in game, 30 mana stones of their choice along with 30 L90+ enchantment stones, or a fabled item (No abg, etc... only items we are approved to give out).

4. Legion Vs Legion - This would be a 3v3 or 6v6 legion RvR with a twist. Not only would the players in the event get prizes but everyone in their legion would get half of the prize rewarded. The Gm would announce the event.
You would pm the Gm with your other 2 legion members or 5 members that were going to join along with your legion name. The gm would then tell you to take a screen shot or your legion members list and mail it to them on the forum. After the gm receives all the screenshots (The screenshots are so you cant invite people after the event just so they can get prizes or add your own so you get more prizes). After the gm has all the names and screenies they would then port all of one faction and then the other. The gm then would call out one elyos legion to and one asmodian legion to step up The battles would continue until everyone has fought. The winners would get something like 100 greater scrolls, 50 candies+50m kinah, 30 mana stones + 30 L90 enchantment stones or something similar.
So there is event option #4.

5. King of the hill - This is a rather long event. There is the potential to earn huge ap. The gm would call for 18 players from each race. After the names are gathered the gm would then port each faction to a near by location. The players would be instructed to place kisks in a more hidden area. The gm would announce the rules, blah, blah, blah... Then the battle would start. The players would have either a half hour or an hour to dominate the others. If you die you can respawn at your kisk. If all of one factions kisks are destroyed and all of that faction killed the match would be over and the faction still standing would win. If within that time there are members of each faction alive the winners would be up to the gm to decide depending on who dominated the longest throughout the match.
Winners would receive 50 silver medals, 100m kinah, & 50 greater scrolls.

6. Kill the GM - The Gm would announce that anyone to kill them within the next 15 minutes will receive a prize. The gm then would run around various locations throughout the opposite factions cities fighting anyone that attacks them. The gm would be using level 25 or under gear but would be fighting for their life. If you attack them they will try to kill you no matter your level (we arn't gonna be jerks if you hit us on accident and say something quickly like sorry and run away more than likely we wont come after you). If you kill the gm you will get 25m + 25 of a gatherable item of your choice (aether, various meats, various plants, various mineral, etc...)

7. Run for your lives - The gm would port the first 15 players to the opposite factions lands (heir/belu).
There would be no prize but the ap you gain.

 

Those events have been done in the past its just that no one does em again, but i would like to see the old albull's events come back >_> i'd do em myself if i was still a gm

 

1. Level brackets and tryouts for each bracket.
Brackets could be something like 30-39, 40-49, and 50-55. To "try out" for entry on a character, a player will have to defeat a moderately difficult npc that is appropriate for that bracket. For example, a monster in the 30-39 bracket that is difficult enough that a fully gold geared lvl 30 can just barely beat it. Players should be given plenty of time to practice, level, gear and try out their character after announcement of the event. Something like 2 weeks, during which time they can attempt to beat said npc and pass try outs as frequently as they wish on as many characters as they wish. Then, at some point very soon before the actual competition, players will be prompted to select just one of their characters for each bracket. So if they have passed try outs for a given bracket with multiple characters, they will have to choose just one to compete with.

2. Tiered competition within each faction.
At the time that players are required to choose just one character for each bracket to officially enter into the competition, a tiered roster will be created and publicly posted shortly thereafter and prior to the actual competition. A starting time and estimated amount of time for duration will be given for each bracket competition. So lets say that this entire competition is a day long event, preferably on a saturday. The 30-39 bracket will start first in the morning. Fights from the lowest level of the tier will be shown first, just one at a time, and this will continue on until the last two remaining players from that bracket duel and a winner is determined.

3. Have more difficult terrain and involving features as you move up the tiered levels within each bracket. This will make the fights truly challenging and much more entertaining for spectators. Flight is, of course, always an option in the coliseum. At the lower levels, have a somewhat involving terrain, perhaps with a few pillars that will force duelists to keep their challenger in their view. Then in the middle levels of the tier, add in some monsters that have the potential to be aggroed by a duelist and will do a small degree of damage. My idea for the most challenging terrain in which the top duelists will compete is almost like an obstacle course. Many high pillars with flying gargoyles sitting a top them that can be aggroed if you fly too high and too close. A floor that is mostly lava that damages you over time as long as you stand on it. A flight ring on either side of the map to keep things going. Possibly even lava geysers that can shoot up and damage you at unpredictable times. You get the idea.

4. Allow players to use any potions, scrolls, and buffs that they have. Honestly, the best duelists are going to be the ones that are also best prepared anyway and these consumables will make the fights last as long and be as entertaining as possible.

5. REWARDS!
There should be at least some kind of reward for passing tryouts. My idea is a silly and fun event related skin, perhaps something like entertainment wrestling outfits. There could even be a few different ones you could possibly obtain to actually give people a reason to try out on multiple characters.
There should also be a really pretty nice intermediate reward for characters that make the top 10-ish (for example) for their bracket. Perhaps some unique wings with nice pvp related stats.
Then, of course, the winner from each bracket should get something really cool. In WoW, the top pvp players get a full armor set of the highest stat quality so that's an idea.

6. The greatest heroes in Atreia.
What I think would also possibly be really cool is to actually have the winners from each bracket within their faction duel the winner of that same bracket from the other faction. One idea is that, rather than these few duels be over a typical prize, that they will actually have some bearing on the control of territory in the abyss. Perhaps that whichever side wins in the 30-39 bracket instantly gains control over all of the lower forts. The winning faction of the 40-49 bracket will immediately gain control over all of the upper layer forts. And the winning faction of the 50-55 backet will win control over Divine. This control could then be taken away once these forts become vulnerable again but, depending on how frequently such a competition would be held, it could actually be another way to keep faction balance in the abyss and give each side a different kind of opportunity to gain temporary control over certain forts.

7. A few other ideas.
Let players bet kinah on fights. It's not real money so its not real gambling but come on, it would just make the competition that much more entertaining.
There could, of course, also be group based competitions. Perhaps the top individual players of each bracket and faction can fight for control of a single fort and the group winners would fight for control of divine.

1) Sux. That person could logout stay in sanctum/pandae and ruin the event.

3)SS contest is better because it s easier for everyone to participate

4)Very nice idea make a thread where people are allowed to flame provoke and declare wars to other legions

5)Replace this with the Armageddon idea...how it works
2 gms go in an instance they announce that in 10 minutes the server will go armaggedon mode.

ARMAGEDON MODE: gms port every logged person willing and unwilling to that instance 1gm spawns asmos the other elyos.
Reward everyone.

6)Nice bit the fun is to make it a pvp event so allow other race to join the event too how u can make that? u go to a place with rifts/silentra or Abyss and give a good hint about ur location. The hint must be i a riddle form. Good hints are ones that are linked with campagn quest, or instances EG "I roam the lands of fire and volcano seeking the advice of an old friend a vile Judge..." that liks to outside fire temple morheim. Give a 15 mis advantage to the elyos race to allow them take the rifts then announce in asmos to come save u. If u r killed reward elyos who r anywhere in Morheim, if not killed within 30 mins reward asmos who r in your vicinity

7) Gm goes in the area under the arena. He goes god mode and opposed faction. Then ports a group of ppl. 3...2...1...GO! If there is anyone standig after 5 minutes players win. If they r dead next group

 

Sounds like fun but people will get lagged, not everyone online can handle that much memory. Oh wait this is on Crystal, Oh yeah nice.

Also the reward should be decent enough to compensate for any frustration caused to players who do not want to pvp...I suggest 1k supplements or greater suplements or 500 eternal or 500 greater eternal...
also the gm must be carefull those that r inside an instance. and must anouce when he aounces armaggedo that ppl sgould leave instances.

 

If you would like to try one of those events this weekend it's fine, although we already have a Kill the GM event so that one would be renamed.

I just ask that you send me more details about the event you are wanting to host - clear explanation of how the event will work, the rules, and what prizes you would like to give so I can read it over and approve the prize before you host it.

I will say about the first event - I hosted something similar to that and the players really did not like being on the wanted list.

Do they need to kill me 1vs1 or is having the kill the only thing that matters?

I like 1, 4 and 5.

 

I got an idea how to host such event... Ask for people to register on a wanted list. If they are killed killers receive prizes. But eachone the wanted man kills will reward him 1+1/2 that prize. Suggested rewards:2 platinum medals(3 for wanted) or 2 gold medals (3 for wanted)

 

To prove that someone attacked the wanted guy first would need a lot of frapsing on the wanted guy's part... but killing the wanted guy and screenshotting it is easy.

 

it doesn t matter who attacks first or second all that matters is the kill. If i m wanted and u ss kill me u get reward(add date of the whole deed from the logfiles to be sure it s not a forgery if u ask me i ll show u how it s done)

If i m wanted and i kill anyone wanted or unwanted i get the reward easy as pie.

 

well that would be bad for unwanted guys... and dang hell of a good thing for wanted ones. You just faceroll everyone you can and get easy prizes. IDK if there are a lot of abg geared in Crystal but I think its gonna have bad effects on PvP that way. Don't take this as a flame, I am merely adding thoughts.

 

well, that s not a problem either...(are u trying to find a problem???) because as i said anyone could register on the wated list. The extra bonus is an encouragement for people to register on the wanted list

Getting in and out of the list should be free wil, but if someone leaves he cannot register again be4 a month passes

And if we keep scores of kills in a thread we can make a super bonus for the head of the man with the most kills from each race

I am trying to be fair, assuming not everyone in Crystal is geared with high-end items like ABG.

 

if so the only events we should be hosting are the uscrabble the word events...and even that it s unfair to non english native language lol and i m not full ABG in fact i have only 3 abg items on me

 

1. In that case if we notice the players hiding out a lot then they would be removed and another added that is more active in pvp.
2. The point of the class vs class is to see who is the best of each class for each faction. then a huge rvr of the top pvp players in crystal.
3. That's an idea. I'll have to keep that in mind.
5. We can't/won't teleport unwilling players.
6. Unsure of what do do with this yet.
7. The players would never win. God mode and 5 minutes. LOL maybe 1.5-2 minutes.
