Magic Accuracy

    Since the tester team has been formed, we've been discussing quite a lot of stuff in connection with stats and possible solutions, so here is one of the ideas.

    There's been a load of complaints going on the forums about the way assassins/chanters and even rangers (with skills as lightning arrow, traps) cannot stun magic resist users and sometimes they even have a hard time with players who simply use ABG sets without mr manastones.

    They've been bringing up retail as an example, and partially they're right since on retail, they really do not have a problem with stunning enemy PCs, however they tend to forget the fact that here in Gamez, people are running around in ABG sets, which gives for example 1750 basic magic resist (talking about a sorcerer in ABG cloth with ABG turquoise accs and MCC glasses along with a fused masta+abg orb) thus the stuns barely land.

    My suggestion would be raising the basic m.acc values of certain classes (Scouts as in Rangers and Assassins and Chanters.)
    Why only these classes? First of all templars and gladiators are not that much in need of a magic accuracy boost.
    In addition, if we would modify these values for Mage classes, it would ruin the balance of PvP, since Spiritmasters and Sorcerers rely on their m.acc & m.res, therefore it would simply screw up the battles between them.

    Feel free to reply this thread with your oppinions about this suggestion.
    Also, I do not guarantee anything, this is just a survey to see the players' oppinions, the real decisions are up to the Developers and the "real higher-ups" as in Carl and Alente.

    edit: 2k mr by gear.. then u can ++ with buffs

    btw you talk about stuns and stuff.. but cleric is really ''underpowerd'' also by this mresist..

    if i go block and mresist.. im preeeety tanky.. if my opponent has 1.8k mr .. im screwed
    u just need mcc glasses and a abg set and socket like.. 3 mr stones to reach it.. or socket none and just use +60 mr food
    if i switch to my macc staff or set.. he has set advantage and manastone advantage
    he maintains his normal build and i have to switch ALL of my 'normal gear' to hit people in abg..

    I agree with this~ I socket a little Macc, and half of my stuns/binds are still resisted by ABG users who don't even socket MR.

    Look, in retail it is capped at 2.1K mr. But that suggestion is pretty good. But i guess it's fairier to just cap at certain rate (as 2k). Increasing the base MA may screw up...
    Btw Zee, do you guys discuss about the No Push Back effect from Fang Strike (there should be a push back effect, look at any Assassin vid in youtube, just search Kerplop and you'll see) ?

    That's not exactly the topic right now, also clerics are not supposed to 1v1 mage classes.

    Last time I checked, I had the proper push-back effect.
    Gotta check it again.

    Not sure of MR cap on retail

    Personally i think it would be better left as it is, as this is what NCsoft intended. More and more people are getting abg on retail, and if they dont, many are running semi MR builds so they have around 1600-1700 anyway.

    I'd be surprised if NCsoft did not introduce a skill for ranger or chanter which gives temporary MA buff anyway in the near future. Then again my MA ranger landed effects on 90% of players and nice dps too. Even silenced full abg mr clerics now and again too. Assassins, temps and glads already have MA buff. For example watch the vid Duels with Akiha to see that assassin with MA build can hit average ABG MR fine (with no OoA too i think but i forgotten).

    1 thing i would recomend is to increase the MA of rangers' traps, it is too low.

    Even if MR is capped at 2k, Sins/Chanters/Rangers would all still be getting resisted by full ABG users.

    And don't just tell me to socket some Macc, for I already do [:

    Since they stand no chance against sorcerers/spiritmasters on retail either.
    Also log on skype & talk with me about it if you want to, let's keep this thread for oppinions.

    As far as i knew there is no MR cap in retail (searched aionsource forum for it but nothing so i guess there isnt)

    But 2k cap would be a nice idea

    At the end, they really should increase the MA base rate o: !
    Zee, i just tested it in a duel, and in real pvp and i had no push back effect x.x
    For the dumbs , the Push-Back effect should be an effect that Fang Strike ignites , consequentally pulling and temporarily(0.5sec maybe) immobilizing them.

    2k cap wouldn't fix the problem that standard CC skills* don't hit ABG users with 0 MR manastones.

    Increasing the base MAcc would.

    *Sleep Arrow, Silence Arrow, etc.

    People are getting a little off topic. This is only supposed to be about raising base Macc, not about MR caps x.x I'll look into that later. Right now, the issue is how low Scouts/Chanters Macc are ~ High MR ratio.

    And also, check if Apply Lethal Venom IV is bugged, it never EVER activated with me, and i did checked the log >.>

    Some people say it works but it does not appear as damage in the logs, some people say it's disabled.

    wtb 1400 MA on sins. : D
    With 1.1k MA, sometimes 1024 or so w/ extendables a +500 MA buff every 5 mins does not make pvp fun. :p
    Even 1600 MA gets resisted a lot.

    Though I did socket 3 parts of my armor for MA, still not getting any stuns through w/o MA buff... which i need to wait for every 5 mins. At 1350 MA I'm hitting pretty low.
