    I can understand some Temps needing Macc, but Glads? What do Glads need macc for other than for Ankle Snare, you already have slaughter x.x

    We aren't talking about boosting Macc just so you can hit through people who socket MR. We're talking about boosted Scouts/Chanters base Macc so they can at least hit through Base MR decently.

    yeah we do... but using slaughter only gives us 1400 MA... a big % of aerial lockdown is a pain trust me.. same goes for ankle snare

    1.4k Macc is enough to go through base MR o.e.. Scouts have a base Macc of 1.1k, and Chanters have a base of 1.2k. Be happy you at least have 1.4k, which still has a decent chance of going through base MR x.x

    I wont say it's about "tweaking", neither "balancing".
    This idea is just about allowing some nerfed classes to play decently. We don't aim to allow rangers/chanters hitting with a 100% chance, full mr players.
    we talk about basic mr/ma amounts.

    I'm told this server tends to be "retail-like" and you managed to build a "bug tracking team" in order to reach this objective.

    The fact is that, on retail, chanters/rangers can stun/sleep/silence/snare decently the other players, and not on gamez aion.
    The main reason is that, we got many abg players on this server (not like on retail).
    So this influence a lot the pvp mechanics.

    This idea to increase basic rangers/chanters MA is not only a "we listen to QQers minority" issue.
    This idea is simply to make these classes closer than they are on retail.


    But well, you are head gm, and you can probably build every char you want on the "test server".
    So if you ever doubted anymore about this,
    i can just suggest you to use a "lightning arrow built" ranger on this server, and try yourself if you can snare/silence/sleep/stun correctly ppl who just have 1.8k mr.
    You will notice/understand how it's difficult to play with this tree on this server. (not like on retail)


    About rangers' dps, it's still not "retail-like", but we can still manage to play this class decently.
    The main problem is the basic MA amounts.
    Even if you make a full MA build (wich is silly),
    you still wouldn't sleep/silence/stun/snare ppl decently.
    So if we don't apply zee's idea,
    we could consider this class to be "stuck" and forced to play only with a "jumping pvp style".
    Wich means, only counting on dps.
    I don't get any fun by playing like that, and in all case...rangers lose more by playing this style,
    because you need a very good ping/set to do it.(not the case for most players...)
    So most of rangers wouldn't even be able to 1V1 most of classes, they would be forced to play on zergs...



    I could explain even more this "rangers' issue", but i don't want to make a wall of text.

    Hopefully that you understand what is occuring, and take the right decisions.

    Zee <3, but zee meaning this will have casting clases way underpowered, the reason why these classes miss is because they do not even socket any Macc, they socket pure dmg stats like attack and crit + this enabling their stuns to hit 100 percent at a time will veil them op classes. Especially the cool down on this skills are very low and no cast time. The current Mr enables so that they need to socket macc and reduce their dmg a little bit so their stuns will work, but their current dmg + 100 percent stun hits = rediculous, unless thats the point here then see everyone roll sin and ranger.

    And I am sorry, I played sin recently and I put my Macc to 1300, I was able to stun many opponents.

    Player who choose to socket mr gives up some fire power, if the scout classes are not willing to do the same then, by socketing a 1 - 2 pieces of gear to macc then I think is their choice. I am sitting on 1700 mb on sm with pure macc, so my skills will land, even then temps and sorc are still able to stack their mr to resisting everything I do, so dont think people who can stun only have the problem, they are the only ones not willing to adapt to worst case situations. My sorc stacks 2k mr and rest macc. Ranger have low cool down physical stun, and huge burst attack, since they are all practically instant that and 3 spell resist? sins, who know how to play them have 6 resist on spells the ones who know how to weave dmg right takes stone shield in one weave and rest are done. Only sorc stack mr mostly, most sm stack macc.

    Hope this gave further perspective, is not as cut throat as you like to be.

    well its enough.. what i mean is a high percentage will be better... aerial barely hits mr type.. and it really is disappointing when it doesnt :D same goes for godstones as well... you will see Godstone activated but they are not blinded or silenced... thats why Glads also need MA.

    on topic:
    I have seen a 2.7 patch note wich shows they will increase the "traps' MA on retail too".
    They did it for the 2.5 patch, and they gonna do it again for the 2.7:

    On both patch notes, you can notice they are increasing traps' MA,
    so you can easily understand that
    they obviously know their is a problem with MA amounts.
    And on retail there are still not many abg users.

    To sum up, retail servers increase the traps' MA while there is (almost) no abg user
    (means still low mr amounts).
    why shouldn't we do it on a 1/2 abg geared server where ppl have huge basic MR amounts?

    We aren't talking about giving them so much extra Macc that they're able to hit through people who socket MR o.e He was just trying to get the point across that on Retail, you don't have to socket any Macc whatsoever in order to hit through someone's base MR, who doesn't even socket any MR. On gamez, Scouts/Chantes have a hard time stunning/binding/etc through ABG base MR even with socketing some Macc. I myself socket extra Macc so I reach 1.4k, even then it's only slightly decent. He's just suggesting an idea he came across.

    I play a ranger and have a hard time stunning anyone with MR granted I don't socket any macc. This would be a nice change even if it was just a little increase in base macc.

    nice ^^, i find glad that gives me 60% Resist With my Full MA SM and i'm not here QQing about it!
    And here in gamez, ranger have Mal Form as a "passive skill" and is still QQing ^^
    obs: class that the Ma could be increase is chanter! Sin and Ranger is fine here

    i a SINB, socket 3 parts MA reach 1361 MA full abg.. still having hard time making stuns to some a player not bulid MR...

    I play sin... buff up, ambush someone, kill ASAP, if the target lives and manage to get out of range, i buff aether twisting then run away... cause there's no way i can stun him again without my buffs. And yes i use Attack+crit and no Macc why?? i got some freakin low damage without those Stones.. a little boost of MA would be good. if not, then i guess i just have to deal with it, and play it the way i always do. (A BIG BUMP FOR THIS THREAD)

    No... unless the passive weakening magic is made to work again. (Helps spiritmasters skills land)

    My MR against rangers is the only real reason I keep a MR set.
