Gladiator's best equip?

A gladiator with full abg crit acce and abg weapon and PvE armor

or

A gladiator with full abg plate set with PvE weapon and acce

which is better is better for a glad? that PVP def or that PVP atk?

Well, what pve set? If it's Mast, I'd go with the first.

 

oh, can you please tell me why? :3 coz i read something here in forums that def is the most useless stat in aion..

 

Gladiators rely on their damage. They aren't made to tank.

Glads are best in dealing huge dmg in short time so PvP attack is crucial, that does not mean that survivability is of less importance. Best is to get both PvP stats (att and def) but if u have to choose between them go for attack with decent Pve armor.

Just so you know ~ P.Def is pretty useless, but not PvP defense :3 Then again, I find pvp attack just as important, if not more. People on Retail tend to get pvp accessories first.

is pvp def=overall damage reduction?
i mean, if you are to get 100 damage and you have about 20% pvp def, would it reduce the damage to 80?

 

as terrorized said people on retail tend to go for accessories first, its no different here. you'll notice for example w/o pvp accessories/weapon on certain players you will only do max of 0-100 dmg but with the pvp accessories + weapon the dmg will jump from 0-100 to 700-900 regular non block/ parried

 

Imo get the full abg plate set as it takes a long time to get unless you donate. Then you can easily get a yamennes eternal weapon in game and fuse it with a lvl 55 PvP one from getting ap and medals, doesnt take too long. As for accessories just keep voting/donating getting them 1 by 1. That's what i'd do.

There arent many good PvE sets available to get in-game, although you can get some good weapons and accessories in game, that's why i recommend you get the abg set first.

I'd go for the full abg armor aswell, it takes ages to get unless you have $100 to throw away. You can do just fine with yam/masta fused to an egt/app wep and the gt accessories will work untill you can get abg ones.
