Religion or atheism?

i believe in God... no matter what.... its my faith and i respect others too.. ^_^..., by Him i have my direction.

 

this kind of threads and discussions keep appearing over and over and more too , wont say why; i'll leave it to ur imagination and they never reach any conclusion cuz there isnt any.      i just leave ppl who believe in god alone but i strongly want they keep thier godly coments to themselfs cuz otherwise i will contradict them.    since i was a kid my family pushed me into many religions but i never really needed to believe in god to be happy or do whats right, ppl need religion to justify thier actions or keep going in life but at the end religion never held ppl back from commiting atrocities.. they might very well be hypocrites. i guess faith in god got corrupted the minute ppl started making religions out of it. also i cant agree with atheism cuz.. thats like another religion not believing in god its like believing in him... so i guess i would also be agnostic .

 

Religion is a manipulative tool.
It can pump scare tactics into the vulnerable.

But, religion can be a factor for building good ethics, moral values, uniting individuals together.
People need a source to create a sense of whats good, and what isn't. Religion used to be the government, and today our government controls whats just and what isn't through their laws, which are different than the churches, but similiar ideas. It's a peacekeeper.

I'm not saying religion isn't always good, but it's definitely been more helpful than not having anything.
If the outstanding majority of the people who aren't aethiest turned, then the things these people looked forward to such as a happy afterlife, which is keeping them from having bad morals would change. Probably causing some sort of anarchy.

Just to address the first part of your opening statement.

My thoughts, of course everyone has an opinion.
I'm also a man of science, but some things can't be explained by us. Refer to my next lines.

I do believe that there are entities out there that we can not perceive with our minds.
Weather it be one creator, or many. I think there are many things that our brains just won't handle.

I personally believe that there is a god .... and i have no problem with men and women that dont .. nor will i bang the word of god on them .... Why? .... because i have no reason to (well the bible says to spread the word and what not but i just dont feel comfortable trying to change someone or trying to make someone there not meant to be) .... we all have a choice ... reason why we were given free will .. we either take the choice to believe .. or the choice to not believe .... Talking to someone thats aethist about god is like talking to a brick it .... talking to someone that just simply doesnt care is like talking to a pig (they just wont listen) ..... So why waste our breaths to go around speaking the word when we can just keep it amongst ourselves ... like i do .... (yea i may be posting something but w/e's its a thread i can post w/e comes into mah head .. no need for flaming ) ... but yea in the end we all have Free will so just believe in what you believe in no need to flame back and forth at each other because its just going to turn out to be a stalemate debate ... its getting no-where ... I have many aethist friends and friends that believe in god ... and imo there pretty much the same there is no difference between them ... just the fact that one believes in a higher power and the other doesnt..
i personally dont like talking about the word of god and what not i just like listening to it and analyzing it by myself .. (i feel like im making no sense whats so ever but then again im falling asleep teehee )

 

it really blows my mind how so many people believe in god...why would that exist, why did we have to be created by some kind of magical being? why doesn't it ever interact with us or prove its existence? [i say "it" because why the f*** would god have a gender or even a body] why does is constantly make people suffer? why does it "love" and "forgive" us and then force the unbelievers to burn in hell for eternity with no chance or being saved? why does god only have the knowledge of an ancient goat herder? oh wait i know why, because all complete bullshit that's been used to brainwash and control people i remember now.

You're making assumptions with the wrong logic. God is not us. God does not make the world this way, we do.
If he is out there, and created us, then he obviously gave us control to do as we pleased.

If the ancient goat herder you're talking about .. thats not God. Maybe it's jesus you're talking about?
Also, God goes by many forms. There are multiple religions, there can be multiple Gods. They're not always portrayed as good either, only enforcing their ways that are just by their standards.

Your points are opinionated by thinking God controls everything and does his best to make this world as best as it can be. This is a lie.
