Tell me , what medicine is there for Diabetes?
I have Diabetes myself (And a few other things , but i'm taking just this one as an example).
There is no cure for it. Only a "miracle" will do.

Becoming an Atheist is just nonsense. Science takes ages to find new things...
Perhaps they'll find a cure for me in 50 years , however , i won't live more than uhm.. 40-45 years.

 

I was avoiding this thread like the plague... now to not avoid it, to say I am going to avoid it o.o

 

so Petro how old are u when u got diabetes.

 

I have that since i was 8-9 years old. The Diagnosis was back in 2000-2001 , can't remember. I'm 19 now.
Why is that important anyway? Let's not get offtopic

And if you're going to ask , yes i've prayed alot about it , i used to be a "religious" kid , i was going to church everyday , but naah... i think i'm on god's block list. He ignored me completely. (If he really exists)

You've lived with diabetes for 10 years now. Do you not realize JUST HOW DEADLY A DISEASE THAT IS?! Centuries ago, getting diagnosed with diabetes was a death sentence. And what a terrible way to go it was!

 

If your talking about Wicca, they have lots of deities, the main one being a goddess, if your thinking of Disney style witches cursing people thats not real lol

 

God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? To those who say yes to atheism, my God! have u all attended your philosophy and logic class?

anybody may have all the knowledge in the world.. and anybody can explain how things happen..

BUT still, even the astronauts cannot barely explain the origin or how was the galaxy made or WHO made it.. all we have was stupid big bang theories and all..

one thing is certain.. THERE'S A SUPER BEING WHO CREATED THIS WORLD..

it would be stupid that we all just popped out like a pimple in ur face.. everything has it's maker.. WE ARE MADE BY OUR MOM AND DAD.. and how about all other unexplained things in this world? WHO made them?

No matter WHO that SUPER BEING IS, I believe in HIM and I have faith in HIM


and I believe His name is JESUS CHRIST/HOLY SPIRIT/GOD THE FATHER


people who do not believe in GOD missed the whole of his life..



God is always there.. if he's not then we would NOT be facing on our PC reading forums and playing aion.. we would NOT enjoy the time together with our families, friends and loved ones..

and about what philosophy are you talking about? kant, nietzsche, hegel, marx, freud, almost all great minds i've read so far had disbelief in god!

 

Plato and Socrates stated about the super being.. and if u attained the perfect wisdom, you'll ascend with them.. like a daeva

I had a lot of questions when I was young coz im curious of a lot of things.. I reached to the point asking myself, does God really exists? Im a born christian and every Sunday when I was a kid, I always attend Sunday school at church.. and I start to wonder

if God exists, then why can't He show up to me right now? as I grow older, u dont have to see things just to know that they exist.. but u just have to feel it.. you can't see LOVE literally, BUT YOU CAN FEEL IT.. and it exists.. and WE BELIEVE IN LOVE and this point applies also on God's existence..

I am the most curious person in the world that my very smart philo/logic teacher can't answer all my question out of curiosity and in-need of knowledge

 

if the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is infinite!
may i assume that i have the same questions as you had before, i am christian as well and i used to go to church, but this year too many things happened that proved the idea of god's existence is wrong.

 

because of what my brother? problems? trials? all DOOMED happenings in this world?

do not let your faith be shaken my brother for God believes in you that you can pass through all the hardships and tests that he gave you.. do not envy those people who have less problems than you.. coz those people are NOOBS coz if God give them heavy problem, they might be going crazy..

i may go back to church and talk to priest, i myself find an unpleasent situation cuz everyone around me believes in god. i am really stuck between myself and to be honest waiting for any miracle just to have hope that something else exists and that i should have some hopes

 

Well, as for me...

I personally don't believe in god just because of the fact that you just can't prove that such a being does exist.
I'm that type of person that needs to see the evidence and facts behind everything. Even though my family is somewhat religious(Catholic), I believe that, as someone sated before, we couldn't have just popped out like pimples. Humans always find an excuse, or in this case, something to believe in to makes their lives seem less stressful by offering their trust and problems to a being no one has ever seen or proven to exist...

This is where i start thinking, why would anyone believe in such a thing if
1) You can't prove he exists(all you have is a bible that is said to be written by gods messengers or w.e.)
2) Even if you pray, they just wont happen(atleast they won't happen by "God's" doing)
- think of it as when you read horoscopes. Many people believe in this type of thing and so when they read their daily horoscopes to see what their day is going to be like, or what may occur, subconsciously that will happen since your so caught up in the idea that your day will end up like so, or that so and so things will occur... Same applies to prayers. You think that God will answer your prayers, but instead you end up doing things yourself and thank someone, who really isn't there, for helping you.
3) His existence is just an excuse to mess with peoples minds.

These are just my thoughts. Sorry if you don't feel the same way.

if god realy existed , then the world would not be 1 big unfair being. there would not be disseases and such i believe in nothing , but i also don't believe that stupid bang theorie. it came from somewhere and we will never know untill we die nobody comes back and say oh yea he exists. religion is something that they tell you when you are young and you take it with you when you grow up. if you believe in it its fine , but there are a bunch of fake non sense crap in it to. sorry to be harsh but seriously...

 

just because you can see (insert deity here) , doesnt mean they dont exsist.
hence why i live by 1 statement made by hellen keller years ago... "Some of the most beautiful things in life cant be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart"

 

I really feel that it doesnt matter what or who you believe in or if you choose to not believe in anything at all. I think the important thing is to live your life as a good person, to help others when and if you are able to, and respect other people's beliefs even if you dont personally agree with them.
