Problem Getting Started

Hello, I am trying to join your private server, this is the first time i have ever tried a private server in an mmo before. I created a copy of my aion folder so that i could have both aion and the private server aion. I followed the download instructions but when i try to launch the gamezion launcher, it says "You need to update your client using the NCsoft Launcher". i have tried resinstalling the launcer, i have tried repairing aion files and nothing seems to work. can anyone help me? Sorry for the wall of text!

 

All I can suggest is maybe launch using the bat file which can be found here 2shared - download GamezAion Launcher.bat Worked for me when I had launcher issues.

 

what version does it say u have on ur ncsoft laucher ?

 

He said he plays Retail, so he should be up to date with Gamez.

If they downloaded and repaired they would have 2.6.

my launcher version is 2.6.02

 

Sorry to be such a noob but what exactly is a .bat file? new to all of this!

 

if he was on KOR he would be on 2.7 and i dont think it would work with out version. thats why i asked. hope u find a solution mate. hope the bat file bits linked helped u

 

Download it and place it in your Gamez folder and right click it to run. And it's just an alternative launcher.

 

It won't let me download in the aion file. it says i do not have permission and hsould contact my administrator to save files into there... any ideas?

 

Are you running as administrator? Because I can download it just fine.

 

i am running as administrator as far as i can tell.
