    On official servers they did it by renaming everyone to "NameSP" (2 letters for the server prefix) and giving them Name Change Tickets - whoever is faster / active gets the name.

    Example:
    - EuphoriaLU (Lumiel)
    - EuphoriaSI (Siel)

    Then the "real" Euphoria could rename himself using the Name Change Ticket back to Euphoria.

    Though this will never happen here because they don't care, I guess :'p

    That was when they MERGED servers, not when people transferred. If someone on the server you transferred tp had the same name as you, they kept their name because they were the one originally on the server, if someone transferred to your server with the same name as you, they had to change their name because you were the one originally on your server.

    Also, one thing I forgot to add, it also depended on if the person that was originally on the server's activity, if they were inactive/low level the person transferring could petition to have their name kept the same while the other person had to change it.

    I don't know if it'll be like that but.. who knows ;p

    It's kinda hard to believe that the Lumiel Euphoria is someone that has anything better than Ebbing (14) gear and is a 55, to begin with.

    I say, before the server transfers, make characters that weren't active for 3 months or more, have names such as RequestNameXXX, where XXX is a number. Once those are back, they'll have to tell a SAM or higher to change their name.
