[Lumiel] Would an elite-ish legion work nowadays?

It worked with <INSANE> 9 months ago.
It worked with <Elements> 6 months ago.
Dranzell tried it with <The Magnificient 7> 3 weeks ago.

My question is: Are there any players around who would accept to be in a legion that requires a very good, outstanding knowledge about PvP?

Time has proven that such legions CAN work (Elements was #1 with 9 members, surpassing two 150 member legions) but they tend to disband very fast.

I would like to revive Elements, but most of its members spread out to different legions (Infect, Explicit Content, etc.).

I do not want members who think too highly of themselves a.k.a. ego-freaks, but rather persons who just want to pvp with people who think/play alike.

Would anyone, nowadays, want to join such a legion if I created one?

I wouldn't say "it worked", I would say "you tried". Creating an elite-ish legion with 5 ppl who never played aion before isnt the non-plus-ultra and in front of all: quietly not possible.
I don't think it would work - and it won't suprise you that I would'nt like to join, I think you know why. I'm quietly not the kind of aion-elite-ish player.

INSANE worked, though, I just took some people from a different game and after some time we were successful and had fun :'O
INSANE was as successful as Highend, but in the end both died.

elite legion on lumiel? means getting zerged 24/7 is fun ? just join EC lol

 

It can work, but its hard to make this kind of legion to perdure over time.

To work, this guild need involved members, that can play together in a group, and can follow directions.
If you got TS/Vent and someone with leading skills, you can make a really strong group.

But the main problem is boredom. After some weeks of raping the same people every day, even the more PvP whore players tend to find it boring and search for other things.

Also, you need a challenging enemy, or all this effor is useless.

Well, just my oppinion. I was on some PvP-wise legions in Aion and in other games, and this is based on my experience and how these legions did.

It would be way better for the server and the people involved in the clan if the elites got together and split asmo/elyos rather than everyone going together (and going asmo).

it wont work coz "elites" in most cases implies arrogant. same reason that "all stars" sports teams never work. they just cant work as a team, they like to show off but cant work together coz they wanna the best among the group

Some years ago, a video games company developed and released the first of a new kind of games.
This was Origin, and the game was Ultima Online, the first MMORPG.
I played this game for mmmm 7 years? Maybe more.
My last 3-4 years i did it on the official server, on a realm called Europa (the biggest for EU region).
Half of my time on this realm was spent as member of a guild hated for every player on the server, but also saw as something special.

I dont know if there is still something around about us, but if you get the time and look around i was on AI (Artifact Infantry), we were a group of good PvPers, with the best equipment and for some years we terroricez the whole server (there is no races on Ultima Online, you can kill everyone).
The key was teamwork, discipline and a good leader. Yeah there was some arrogants inside AI, but only on their spare time. When we did something together we did as a well coordinated and eficient group.

Im sorry, all this wall of text just to say that teamwork can success

 

The reasons those kind of legions don't last is because the people that usually play in them take fun out of the game, and enjoy being good to kick everyone's ass and take credit for it. Meaning they usually have somewhat of a life and don't get too caught up in in-game drama and such. And once they reach their goal and prove to everyone their bad-ass, and that you don't need 150 people to be #1 they find another game or another server to move to and repeat the process. t-t i miss lineage
