Promote newbs

Just want to suggest(even though its been suggested plenty of times before), that the abyss forts in particular become vulnerable again like before. So people can get gold medals like we use to before 2.5. That way it would cause all of the people who are just starting out in the server to "make a legion together" and to go farm gold medals and AP so they can get actual pvp gear. Then you wont hear that much "sir i can't pvp without pvp gear I'm going to leave this server" bs. Plus on top of that every weekend someone could reset the forts to the baluars so they can control it until someone captures them so that it would be fair to both factions. Just have weekly fort resets. I hope someone takes this into consideration, me myself I miss farming gold medals like the old days. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be here now actually.

About the forts , yes it has been suggested. But i like the "Reset every weekend" part , that's a nice suggestion that i haven't heard before. Good Luck!

How this would reduce zerging:Open silent canyon to pvp / reduce hp on deities in abyss forts so gold medal farming is revived and abyss becomes crowded again. and last take off fort ownerships in inngi/gelk so zergs can't gather as fast because the more distance a zerg has to travel the more scattered it gets.
Why your idea wont break the game: Forts ownership is only convienent for teleportations make the diety balaur and npcs belong to the race that runs that land gelk(asmo)/inngi (elyos) so plat medal farming isn't lost. Abyss being revived won't break the game because it was like that before .

i kinda liked my Idea because it might also fix zergs as well >_<.

 

+11251613723723754!! The reset on the lumiel forts actually made a bit of intense wars. Also remove kisking ability inside fortresses in balaurea.

Resets of Fortresses in Upper is abyss is fine ...
It would be better if we got actuall rewards for fort siege ...

and it would be best if Guardians of Abyss chests drop the key to the chests, so we can get Gold medals ...

Hence, Fix Sieges and give proper rewards,

Reset abyss ownership every week, cylce thru forts and FIX those abyss instances, so we can get Gold medals ...


Two options

 

I take myself as an Example. I don't PvP much in the Abyss just because i cannot teleport directly to the Spot i want , the Core let's say. (and because the barriers are fixed now aswell...)
Because of my laziness , i ended up binding at Soteria Sanctuary... I teleport to our Fortress from there then i go to Silentera -> Gelkmaros , or i fight with the so-called Zergs on the way between the two Fortresses in Inggison.

Also it is true that because of that , we lose many Players. When they see that the only way to get some PvP Gear is Voting/Donating , they just Quit.
And don't tell me about the TAC Officer items or the Archon/Guardian Primus Pilus. The Empyrean Crucible is Bugged , The Crucible Challenge is hard to solo even for a full ABG Player and getting enough AP to buy Archon/Guardian Primus Pilus items is almost Impossible for newbies with 14-Day or Elder Gear. (Not to mention about the Medals too , it takes Ages to level up the characters for the Platinum Medals)

The forts MUST be fixed , as soon as possible. (Don't ask me when will they be , i do not know. When Evilset is Done with the Serious Bugs i guess , he'll fix that too.)

EDIT: Forgot to mention , the HP of the Bosses is way too High. Even if that's how it is on Retail , i do NOT care , this isn't Retail , we got very few players compared to Retail and the HP has to be lowered. I've been many times with people who tried to kill the fort boss but did not make it in time.
It takes 2+ hours to kill it...



ps: There's something that Pisses me off really much. Some players in the fortresses used to just make 1 hit on the boss and sit afk to get Medals at the end. Well this is bad and i can't think of a good solution to this to be honest.. Making it like some guys said it is in retail (The more damage u deal , the more medals u get) would be unfair for low dps classes (e.g. Clerics) , plus lately EVERYTHING resists spells , even a level 3 Monster in Poeta today resisted my Flame Cage >.>"

You could gather pretty easily Gold Medals in Upper abyss in ANY Fort instance ... besides Miren ...

There were always two chest with probly 50% drop rate ... Of course ou must have killed bosses before them ,but that was quite easy with cleric ...

I was farming those forts for two days and made 100+ Gold medals ... enough for Chest and boots for EGT ...

And About Eye ... For me , Eye is the only Solid PvP area ... no zergs there , sometimes even high ranked people .. I make 250k+ AP soloing there.



To make rewards from Forts and not that necesseraly ...

It is enought to cycle upper abyss Forts every week and TO FIX FORT INSTANCES .... Really .. after Update When I found out that the Guardian of The Chest doesn t drop the key anymore .. I was very unhappy ....

I miss forming parties and going to forts. It was so much fun to go there and get medals and pvp too at same time. It was fun before 2.5 q.q

Couldn't agree more Malc this would give newer players an incentive to stay here instead of waiting to see if anyone would be kind enough to help them or they just get sick of not being able to do anything and end up quitting.

Am surprised am still playing on this server. People in game aren't so friendly.....65% of people don't speak English "well" rather than knowing broken English, 10-15% don't respond at all, 5-10% say "gtfo newb," the last 10% would actual help with answering a question. Am not speaking of course towards everyone just people I've encountered during my stay here. Granted am completely new to Aion so I've been asking a lot of question and frankly I still don't know what to do with certain things in game. Luckily I just joined the forum and read up on some question I have. Further more its is very discouraging trying to learn a new game especially under these circumstances but their are some "nice" people ingame willing to help me and other "newb players."

Sorry to make this long but I felt you guys would like to know some actual experiences from a "newb player."

*P.S I've been trying to "PvP" and I am failing horribly, I've been trying to figure out how u get "PvP Gear" but no one likes to respond. I would greatly appreciate some advice/help. My IGN is either Jaeroc/Legionist/Saywaah. I really like this game and this server just wish things were a bit easier to figure out.

As a Fresh player you need to know that you need atlast some starter eq to enjoy some PvP.

As soon as you hit lvl , get rental gear for aprox mil. and socket it with white manastones.
After this you are rdy to collect some basic PvE gear. You shoud visit Dark Poeta A.k.A DP. You can gather some nice armors there, which looks good and give auite good stats, for starters. A Higher tier armor drops in Lower Udas Temple or Udas Temple ... Here you can find also "weapons" for starters From Debilkarin The Maker ...

I those two instances you can gather your whole eq and get ready for PvP.
This won´t be easy ... You will need to be patient and work hard to learn how ti fight different classes, learn when to Pot ( Using healing / Greater healing potion to remove some bad stuff from ya ) and when to withdraw.

For Starters I suggest Going to Eye And try to find someone who will help you with Ap .... Personally I like this area a Alot.

In a good day, you can gather 400 000 + Ap in single day and buy one APP/GPP armor or jewelery ... As for Medals, For every lvl 55, you have 10 plat medals .. so lvl up some toons and you get 10 plat medal + scrolls and aprox 150 kk kinah .. nice addition along your main.


OR

You can take a profesion. Tailoring is the hardest to make armor, because you can morph in big quantities . For plate users, armorsmit is easy way to get decent eq.
With Alchemy you can create Various potions/ Scrolls that are highly demanded and earn even 1 bilionkinah per day and then ou can buy some nice stuff from broker ...

Or ... find a nice legion .... With good people every problm is very small ...
