Well, if it's for a paper, research a bit on how our founding fathers felt about education.
Whether you're writing for, or against, historical facts on an opinionated paper are great.

And stop trying to cheat by using us for your school.

So far, all I could salvage about this was that before the American Revolution, jails were often in very....harsh condition, often forcing prisoners to rob each other in other to buy the inflated goods regulated by jailers/wardens.

Then in the 1780s-90s, our beloved Benjie and some other people formed a group that fought for the wellness of prisoners, starting with the Walnut Street jail where it was turned into a showcase to exchange information between said prisoners. This was regarded as the first form of the prison education system.

AND NO I'M NOT CHEATING I'VE ALREADY TAKEN A STAND

I think you're trying to dig too deep. Keep it a little more simple. How did they feel about education. Then apply those feelings to the humans in the prison system today.

They obviously can't tell you exactly how they feel about the prisoners themselves, but before they're convicts, they're American.

I'd probably write it pro-education. Thats just my take.

    Much luck brother.
