He has pretty much given up.
I guess a word or two to poke fun at him helps.

There :3 now this thread is in the right section.

As for the post that was made... I am always thinking it could be a troll post... something to provoke emotion, a flood of people...

But as a person who does deal with this sort of thing? It may just as well be perfectly true... the internet has become a source of output for many people. You have groups for Alzheimers, Autism, Huntington's, MS and a wide variety of things just for this very reason... sometimes its not about getting a reward, but instead to just let it all out anonymously...

And sometimes the replies one may get in response are truly comforting enough to make a difference. That is, ignoring all of the people who will troll. Which is sadly also a reality on the internet.

But in terms of the cancer type and all that... I am definately not an ooncologist, I couldn't even hope to blab on about it.

Overall I hope the kid enjoys whatever is left of his life. It is actually said that the good die young =<

Just another reminder that medicine is incomplete /sigh T_T

I refuse to feel sorry for him... One should try to encourage to do whatever one can do till the last breath. I will never support someone to give up, I cant.

I'd rather die in an accident or get shot in the back and die instantly than suffer a painful death and u know when/how soon it will be.

His story kind of reminds me of my friend.
He had sarcoma. Started from his legs and spread out throughout his body.

Doctors said that the best thing that could save his life was to get rid of the legs. Being the inspired soccer that he was, he refused it.

He died in the spring of 2010. I couldn't be there to attend his funeral.
Funny how right on the day that he passed away, I was thinking of singing a song for him (since I was notified earlier that he might pull it through). Didn't make it in time.

He can get up for a short period of time, but he's on medicine 24/7.

Lol in that case I'd have ripped the legs off of him myself, bare hands if need be.

Thats one of the frustrations doctors deal with, and then that doctor needs to live knowing they might have had a shot. T_T

I am sorry to hear ya'll had to go through that though =< I myself have never had the experiance of having a friend die... but I know what its like to be worried as hell about someone (when my fiance was shot T_T).

My aunt died from cancer at 56 and she was giggling even before dying. She said the only thing she regret in life was not having fun when she could. Sad story tho, sometimes things that seems fake are real.

    Yeah.

Well, we can't blame him for that. The doctor's suggestion was referred to as "the best solution", meaning that there could be some other ways around it, but getting rid of the legs meant he was cured.

But the period between that and the time it became full blown was too short, like 3-4 months as I recall.

Least it is a better death than many in the neurological/neurosurgical pool >.<

Its terrifying when people lose their faculties... one of the main reasons why I got into this is because the things are horrific beyond comprehension. =X

Sometimes life deals you some blows and until you experience it you can not know how you would react. Life can play some cruel tricks on the mind. As I understand it many doctors believe that the state of mind can play an important roll in the recovery of a patient. So I would opt to be kind and give words of encouragement.

@ Aegis...I really appreciated your post and it is good to know there are people (competent) out there helping those who need it. As for your trolling, I lurv eet....:p
