Rock is the sh*t, without it we'd have no music. Though I like Country some, I prefer Rock more often.

Not listening to anything at the moment, but a few of the bands I like are All That Remains, A Day to Remember, Adelitas Way, Godsmack, Disturbed, Nickelback, Nirvana, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Nine Inch Nails, Nonpoint, Poison, POD, Skillet, Seether, Saliva, Shaman's Heart, Stain'd, Switchfoot, Theory of a Deadman, Three Doors Down, Three Days Grace, ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Korn, etc.

I'm more a fan of Alternative, but in some cases I suppose you could call them similar.

I like each and every single style of music rock being the first I actually got into it's deffineatly one of my favorites when I started guitar I played nothing but rock songs because well it's what sounded the best to me then I started listening to more jazz more blues more pop more alternative more country more everything mainly because I wanted to learn different styles for gutiar so I guess it's because of guitar that I enjoy every style of music :3

the bands I mainly listen to though are,
    Devil Wears Prada
    Blink 182
    Asking Alexandria
    We Came As Romans
    Red Hot Chili Peppers
    Escape the Fate
    Falling In Reverse
    Skillet
    Papa Roach
    Three Days Grace
    Breaking Benjamin
and a bunch of other ones x.x

I like rock music. Most bands I like are Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Evanescence, Bullet for my Valentine (with a bit screamo), Nickelback, AC/DC, Linkin Park (just the old albums).

Well, the sub genres like punk, alternative, grunge, new wave, indie, etc., I would rather repeatedly punch myself in the nose than listen to it. I don't know what it is about it, but I can't stand it. In that same breath, though, I absolutely love thrash metal. I could listen to Slayer exclusively every day for the rest of my life and be content. I like an extraordinarily wide variety of music, my favorite being from the Common Practice period, but I just can't listen to the whiny, screechy, slow and turned down but pretending to be heavy rock.

My most favorite type of music. I might sound/look too deep but my opinion about this genre is the only type of art where there's no hypocrisy, at all. Sadly some singers nowadays are simply singing, making songs for popularity but rock songs, SOME singers and bands simply make songs as their instrument of passing their messages to listeners. Some which I fully understood that they think ROCK is just a piece of crap music and nothing but noise. I do not judge this kind of people but I hope they better not judge people who loves ROCK music because from the noise, they were able to perceive a message - well that's something!

Nine Inch Nails FTW! The period of time when Grammy is not as crappy as now. Grammy award winning band with bad words on songs... Hell so what?

I agreed.. until you said that x.x

Some rap artists are but a lot aren't in it for the popularity some aren't even that known because they refuse to sign to a label that sets limitations to the content they can write about.

Thank you for reminding me. I forgot to emphasize which kind of rock bands I am talking about. True that NOT all bands are nice to the ears and with sense.

Yes I was mostly referring to the underground but I do agree with hip hop mostly being about sex/money/drugs nowadays it doesn't have much meaning but we're going off topic now so should really stop talking about it and go back to talking about rock :3
