I've never seen this scenario before. Interesting.

Both are INCREDIBLY hard to get rid of.

I play a chanter, they and assassins are one of the most gear dependant classes. I'm a dps chanter and though my gear isn't awesome, it's not bad either, it's decent and I can do some damage when I get hold of them. Honestly though, Templars are a pain in the ass, have a lot of block, take next to no damage and can hurt you pretty decently. I love my chanter, but being so gear dependant is annoying.

Like Fan said, get chain, you can use it for both classes. But meh, Chanters outlast Temps in the end. I normally just give up though, it's like a 10 - 20 minute fight.

Templars hit rubbish until they get a knock down and then it's a sudden burst of like 4k+

This, I normally just ignore temps and kill around them. Not worth the time for the AP.

In a duel i think chanter would not win, templar has a chance to win if he makes good use of his burst damage,or it would end with time limit, chanters can heal and their defense is really good, but their dmg doesnt have any burst. In pvp those are 2 different classes, with a templar you can run into a group and use your burst dmg to kill them 1by1,whoever fks with templars is an idiot. Chanters in the other hard are extremely hard to catch in pvp, speed manta stun mantra and lots of defensive buffs and heals makes them real good. Both are decent but i prefer templars, even though the heals arent many i like to run into a group and pull em to their death ;x Chain set would be good if you are planning to use both,as well as mace and shield which are a must for both classes, accessories are same as well, you just need to get a staff for your chanter and a greatsword for your templar.

Im more worried about the 20k HP + 100% hp heal + Empyrean Armor + Iron skin + Empyrean Providence.

Anyone who fights a templar 1v1 is an idiot.

When they fix templars, no one will play them. Keep that in mind.

I deem this thread relevant to ask, do offensive chanters benefit from MB? Should I just use my ABG Leather set instead of trying to trade for abg chain set? It looks like the evasion+attack bonus from leather is just as good

I know you where asking about a chanter but i can wipe most glad's and temp,s with my cleric no prop, until i changed all my manastones for mag resist and mag acc now i can hang in and beat most sorcc and spiritmasters . I did have all block and parry which helps will glads and temps. Of course it helps to have good gear and all +15, I am using all master carved set on my cleric ond starting to get a full set for my glad to, and buying the good stuff from vip points help a lot have most of the earnings, necklaces, rings and belts all Archon Brigade General's stuff . But if you where poor like me when i first stated and need to share stuff between char get chain, I hand down my master carved equipment to my glad untill i get something better lol.
