Currently watching Vampire knight though that's mostly because the characters are amazing eye candy..but uhm.. :lol:

 

AnoHana - Something I'd call short but definitely sweet.
Clannad & Clannad After Story - Masterpiece. If you haven't watch it yet then you're missing something great that anime could do (tear jerker).
Kimi ni Todoke - Story goes a bit slow for me but hell, it's worth the wait.
Code Geass, FMA Brotherhood and Death Note - Most of people who have been watching anime for years knows them already so I don't think I or anyone here needs to say how awesome these series are XD
5 Centimeters Per Second - Another masterpiece. I forgot how many times I've watched this movie D: (One of Makoto Shinkai's best).
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - Great mecha anime (eye candy) *.*
Itazura na Kiss - Art is a bit of an old style looking but the story makes up for it. From high school life until marriage and family life. Unlike other romance anime, it's not going make you ask for more or think like "what if".
ef - Tale of Melodies & ef - Tale of Memories -Very unique yet beautiful art, good storyline but you will have to pay a lot of attention to dialogues to point that you might even repeat some certain scenes in order to fully understand them as the art and and music are distracting due to their awesomeness :3
Xam'd: Lost Memories - Good anime with great character design (that's Bones for you!) and awesome music (Kylee <3!)
Black Lagoon - Bad ass! Guns? Drugs? Syndicate? War? Prostitution? Violence? Almost every negative thing you could think of in real life and how the world is rotten to the core are compiled here
Toradora! - Great high school life anime with good art.
Fate Stay Night - Good shounen anime with romance to switch the mood. If you're a fan of knights/warriors then you might like this one.
Kara no Kyoukai - An awesome mystery anime by ufotable.
Ga-Rei: Zero - Great anime, baddie high school girls who wield sword. It's too short for a series so good.
Tenjo Tenge - Another anime with two girls (sisters) wielding a powerful sword passed down on their family members teaming up with their high school classmates to defeat a certain group to prove who's the strongest.
Darker Than Black - One of the anime with the best art (Bones + Square Enix ftw!) plus an interesting storyline (Amber <3 aka C.C. v2)
Rurouni Kenshin - Old, classic but without a doubt one of the best out there.
Rurouni Kenshin: Seisouhen - The movie which tells the story of the last days of Battousai. Beautiful art.
True Tears - Personally my all time favorite. Awesome art with good music and a very good (complicated) story (Hiromi<3!)
Get Backers - Good battle-type anime.
Angel Beats! - Damn funny but watch out for the ending, it's exactly the opposite and would make you ask for more as soon as possible.
Full Metal Panic! - HILARIOUS XD. Very funny mecha anime but the action doesn't disappoint.
K-ON! - The one and only good music anime I know and have watched (HTT Band! <3)
Durarara!! - Bad ass and crazy (Celty <3).
Highschool of the Dead - Zombies plus fanservice brings fun (?).
Princess Lover! - Ecchi :3 but story is not as bad as most ecchi anime and the art is just beautiful (Saber of Fate Stay Night has sister here XD).
Kaichou wa Maid-sama - Very funny but meh, Usui is too perfect for a human >.>

That's some of the anime that I really like and would recommend for people to watch. There's more but I guess this list is enough for now

Anyway, if you want to fully enjoy watching, I suggest you download them via torrent in the highest quality possible like Blu-ray or DVD in 720p or 1080p instead of streaming and watching them in terribad quality. Have an external hard drive with huge amount of space (at least 1 TB) so you can share or re-watch them anytime you want. If the problem is the download speed of torrent then there's BakaBT which in my opinion is the best anime source around. Fast, high quality and clean anime torrents. There are certain rules there and some anime aren't there tho because of licensing specifically by FUNimation but other than that, it's worth a try. The community is about give and take. If you want to download as much as you can then seed as much as you can as well.

Just watched Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora,
It only has 6 episodes but its quite good actually ^^

 

I'm not sure if posting links is prohibited or not so I'll just say it. Search for UTW (Unlimited Translation Works) Fansub via Google. They have subbed 3 versions of FSN Unlimited Blade Works, XviD 480p, BD 720p and the highest quality which is BD1080p FLAC. For other anime, search for MAL (My Anime List). They have a complete (or almost) list of anime from the oldest up to the ones that are currently airing and about to air soon. Search for a title and scroll down. You'll see the list of fan subbing groups who subbed that anime including the group's website where you can download the anime you want to watch.
