just curious about the aiming combat system, if one has high ping and enemy is jumping/moving around a lot , it might cause problems?
hoping they'd be able to work out the kinks for the western release

 

In the village: no matter how crowded, smooth as ass.
Stepped out into combat zone: frothy liquid mixed with chunky diarrhea.

I never had the slightest hiccup ._. even in combat zone. Not that everyone could run the game on high graphics and all, but I feel like it has a really efficient system of loading things up, instead of being like "BLARGHBLARGHBLARGH HERES YOUR HIGH QUALITY TEXTURES, ENJOY THEM ALL AT ONCE" it shades NPCs and stuff in a pretty basic teal gradient overlay with grid marking over them, and then it stars removing itself revealing the actual texture. Its like something you'd see in a sci-fi movie if something was being teleported, and I don't know if this is why I was running so smoothly but I do think its a pretty efficient way of loading in npcs/creatures, had to give them props.

The combat system was both immensely frustrating and beyond awesome at the same time. It felt great being able to use a super skinzaku awesome spin of asskickery and then swing like a crazy ******* at the air without targetting anything and being like YEAH *****, TAKE THAT SWORD. On the other hand, a lot of the mobs I couldn't even hit. I had to wander around the zone for a decent while skipping tons of groups of mobs because I couldn't hit them. I know this is just a bug due to it being a private server and all, I didn't go in expecting the combat system to be finished, but high ping could very well be irritating in this game if you were unlucky enough to have it.

Other than that, I'm not sure how amazing this game will actually be once its westernized and some more of the bugs are solved, but I really want to give it a chance. Its absolutely amazingly beautiful and it seems like PvP/PvE would take a lot more skill. Being able to manually dodge shadowburst because you can see a giant black orb flying your direction, and moving out of the way because you're not an idiot? Sign me in.

 

So I'm trying out some of the other races, one of them is this weird giant thing about as big as any humanoid race you've ever seen, appears to be made out of metal or stone or something, kindof cool in a way but he can't use jumps..not sure if want.



Theres also a little pedo/loli race (as some would refer to it as) with big cat/bunny ears, and at first I thought I wouldn't like it much but I have to say it moves very awesome, kinda crouches to the ground and does a very fast paced sprint which is a bit amusing and awesome to see, so I'm taking a liking for them unfortunately. No screenshots included at the moment.

 

Do you experience lag in the combat zone Lucent?
Mine goes swiftly smooth in the village, but it's like puking rainbow out there.
