Why is it so hard to get?~
So, let me start this by addressing the topic, as most of us know, there is "ABG dupes" going in the game server right now, ayt?
I am the first one to report it here, entitled "Missing ABG Longbow"~
and through tough luck, I'm not the only victim, several posts came afterwards addressing the same problem..

My only concern here is that, the trade happened as a NORMAL trade (we used common sense, we didn't got scammed on the ACTUAL trade) and nobody told us that there is ABG duping going in the game, so we were clueless..

well, mine is like I traded 2 abg swords to abg bow and spear, it is a fair trade so who would make any suspicions? then after I relogged, the abg longbow went missing..

If there are any heads up before i was a victim of this dupes, I would accept that i can't be given compensation, but man, we were clueless..

 

true but when you are making abg trade you should always pm gm for help

 

In all fairness to both sides though o.o

(1) there was never an issue before
(2) the staff is usually kept busy doing other things, if they are even online.

 

and oh, speaking of, thanks aegis for reminding me~

right after the trade, when i relogged and the bow went missing (about 15 mins after the trade) I typed .gmlist and the reply i got was

There is no GM online

no one to address the problem, i went directly here in forums..
i tried doing that for the next 3 hours and still, no GM online.. so yeah~

 

They are more than busy enough for them to burden on the tons of trades and deals between players in Siel.

 

if they ever come online as aegis said, they sit on dam gm island, answer on players questions for like 15 minutes do one event to update their event log and as soon as they are done, they log off. there are few gms who actually care about community after 2 weeks they are promoted ! so how come they are busy?

 

The problem I see is that there is no evidence of the trade or that it happened.
Like you said you thought it was a normal trade so no precautions were taken even though we do advice you to take SS or Video or all your trades.

About the no GM online thing we are not allowed to stay online if were not doing anything. When I log in 1-2 hours I spend the majority of the time helping people with questions,unstuck, events. After that theres usually nothing to do....so I log off.
Hate to agree partially with Snic but there are few gm's who care.

 

some AMs might have real life going on and can't be online for 24h a day

 

dang..i just need a legitimate trade for meh abg magic set, my vip's gonna expire anytime this week, and im not gonna be anywhere near my PC for 2 days ...:sad:

and oh~ i though GMs could track items,~

Than to even deal with 1/10th of the trades.

 

Someone like me? Because I'M a GM it doesn't make me different then you. I'm a player first so I care of what happens to the server and the people that play in it. As much as I would love to help you regain your item's there is no evidence to support it and we cannot trust everyone.

We cannot track items. We cannot do a lot of things that the general public expects us to do.
Items can be tracked but not by GM's. At least not at my tier.

 

yea right, they don't have to be online all day long, but at least 1-2 hours. I know how tiresome job it is, i myself was gm, and also very well know what happens after few weeks, majority applies just only for power.

 

i know, your tag says so~ not a trainee, but a full fledged GM, can I *ask* a favor? please make an announcement ingame about the server's current situation regarding the dupes, that would help alot, just forget about my bow~

 

contact Alente with sufficient evidence and you will have your item back trust me, Alente is the best HGM of every private bullshit server out there.

 

I will make an announcement regarding it periodically when I'm online.

 

here's the thing, i'm not sure the devs even knew this was possible, and I am 100% sure AMs could just report it to them and probably reported it already, now what the AMs would do is catch the culprit investigate/interrogate the crap out of him promise deals they'll probably break, to teach/taught them how to do it. so the DEVS can replicate the damn issue and fix it.

now the chances of this getting worst is probably about 60%, if the devs won't get hold of the info how to duplicate items, then this will go worst further.

How about this

Either knock server down temporarily until this is fixed/figured out and then fixed, OR disable all trading for now.
