Intended to my mom or me is both personal.
    But appology accepted ;).

The point of me going in on this discussion was because ur friend said he didnt had a negative nor positive experience with this issue. Hence why i was thinking (why make a topic like this then?!).

But it all cleared up after we all made our points. I think were about done with this issue and cam to the conclusion that the gift option can be both positive to some or negative to others and also unintended trigger people to multivote.

I think we can all agree on that.

Well on this side I'd make the arguements that most people in support of VIP as a means to avoid multivoters are now in moot conditions.

How is it staff issue if it's the players' decision to trade by using the gift function? Sounds like a big case of PEBKAC to me.

I just think that if the VIP items like ABG which can be bought in BCT Shop will remain the same - VIP trade then this might lessen the illegal agendas of those abusers. The longer the voting, the more chances the staffs can catch more multi-voters and the value of the item remains. It wont remove completely the GIFT system, there will just be some changes or push on whatever is supposed to be.

Aside of the increase scam issues, there are other issues that increased like multi-voters getting banned left and right.

    @ghost

Because they enabled an option that they did not think well and caused these problems... I am not taking the guilt of the players, there is still a large amount of lack of common sense around... but i wont take away either the responsability of the people at charge for not thinking things well...

Sure is nice to have an inside game store, but they are using a platform which never had the purpose they are giving it now, things are what they are.

Not sure about the details, I simply assumed about the threads made the past days regarding their "unknown" reason of getting banned which we all know, probably a multi-voting matter.

Cuz I haven't seen too many threads about multivoting reports lately. I'm not being suspicious of Uehara, but I honestly haven't heard these reports in ages :?

That, I don't really agree staff being blamed for.
The multivoting ban system works quite efficiently, and usually those who were banned admitted to committing something worthy of a ban (multivoting in this case).

That thread means that the players getting banned due to multi-voting doesn't stop. And my point is simple, that GIFT system is a multi-voting bait.

Actually, if people are multi-voting and getting lots of ABG, the price will deflate (the market will become saturated with ABG).

If you read my earlier posts, you perhaps can get even a bit of my point.

All I have here are pure assumptions, but as written there, Prevention is better than cure. The easier they can acquire the item like ABG, no need for availing VIP the more people will tend to make an another account, vote for it and gift it to themselves as it doesn't consume much time and will make them get ABG in no time. See the guess?

    That's why I don't get it.
If they have a strong enough incentive to multivote (and get themselves banned in the process), why not just use the "Buy" function and get their hands on that item directly, instead of putting themselves at the risk of being scammed by using the "Gift" function as a method of trading?

Unless I've gotten your message wrong, this is what I got out of it.

EDIT: Ah, I see what you mean. Multiple accounts.

    MULTIVOTE

having 2-4 or even MORE accounts voting all in ONE IP ADDRESS.. this is possible by using proxy sites

having multiple accounts is okay but voting them all in one IP address is bannable..

Yes. We all know how long it will take for a legit voter to complete a full ABG gear using one account. It will surely take months. With the GIFT system, the time multi-voters will consume to get an ABG item is only 20 days (consistent voting) which before, 35 days because they need to avail VIP to get the item they multi-voted for. With the longer run, there are a lot of chances for the staffs to see who are multi-voting. But with the GIFT system as I posted earlier, they can simply make an another account, vote for 20 days while voting for their own account after 20 days 2 ABG parts or even more account and ABG parts. And when caught it is so easy to say "it is a gift from a friend!"

I am heading to bed now. Will continue the defense tomorrow.
