Need help regarding duped items

Hi all,

Just wondering how is one able to identify a duped item? Cause I was thinking of trading with 2k credit and i got pm-ed with lots of offers like:
- 3pcs abg accessory (actually this seems ok, but i was worried)
- 1 masta cloth set + gpp leather set + 300 plat
- 2 abg crit rings + masta plat set + weap

etc etc things like these and i was there wondering "hmmm.. market value dropped?" LOL then comes my legionmate telling me dupers are out in great numbers... which made me cancelled all deals and ya, afraid =P

Thus, a few things i wanna ask is:
- How do I know if its a duped item?
- What can I do if it happens to be a duped item?
- Am I simply gonna lose the items that I traded with my credit (aka real money/voting)

I read through the forum regarding dupers and duped items and noticed alot of people got hammered with that. Lots of them lost both credit as well as items due to dupers. Understand that some of them didnt take SS probably cause dont have a habit to. But for those who donated their hard earn cash and effort to get items, isnt it simply too unfair to say "Sorry but I cant return you the items. You unlucky traded with a duper."

Any possible solution for such situation? Or did i miss it at some thread? Well, all is good if we have a win win situation for both GMs,AMs, and honest players. ^^

 

U cant know the item is duped unless :
1. someone tells u
2. it disappears after u relog.

And all u can do about it , if the item/s is/are duped and u lose it/them , is to report the one u traded with. For that u need screenshots or better a video from the entire trading process and u relogging and losing the item/s and the chat.pak
Even with that evidence it's not 100% sure ull get ur stuff back and that the duper is going to be punished.
For safe trades i suggest u use the forum and try to trade with people that are somehow active on forums.

 

Relogging is the only way.

 

well some r obvious, like the 300 platinums right there. also people who offer thousands of potions, its all duped the thing is with stackables sometimes they bug them so they dont disappear, u cant be sure they will stay though

in the past u could ask an AM to supervise a credit trade but i dont think they do that anymore. cant hurt to try though

 

someone just got busted with a duper who "acted" like he relogged. omg.. dupers are making things look really bad for this server at the moment..

The last 2 can make you turn the brain on...
Why? Because they are giving you too much....

How to make sure that the items aren't duped:
1. Tell the trader to show you the items [in trade window]
2. Cancel the trade and tell him to relog[he MUSTN'T be near WAREHOUSE [best place for this is Marchutan Priory/Convert of Marchutan, Kaisinel blabla (elyos)]
3. Go trade. ;3

 

i would extend the list
1. do it in an area with NOBODY around so they have no 2nd char near them to dupe on
2. whisper them when they are "relogging" to make sure they are actually relogging

I think masta set for 2k is way too exp bro ^^ hahaha but o well, someone just posted in forum that he got scammed even after that guy relogged. He commented that he wasnt near the WH at all but still he got scammed. ABG spear + masta set but apparently ABG was duped. That's why I was thinking if relogging does help? or can one dupe without WH?

Alot of possible situation like he could have trade with an accomplice after he relog? things like that. danger danger~~

 

yeah u can dupe without warehouse, especially if u have a 2nd char near u, safest to trade in an area with no people and maybe try whisper a gm to come watch so they can ban on the spot. judging by the number of scams these days (geez there r 3 threads just now) it seems like they would get to ban

 

1. duped and trade
2. banned
3. click on gamezaion website
4. recreate account
5. repeat 1 - 4 again.

LOL that's life now i think
