About the Filipino problem in general, Carl has said it: If you play in an Internet cafe, then GamezAion is most likely not the right game for you.

Filipino players dupe and hack, heck even zerg in-game, just because their cafe mates them told them to. If I jump off a cliff, would you jump after me? A 10yo pinoy would. From what I heard, many are uneducated, or poorly educated. So oh well, I support the fact and an advice that they (not saying they can't) shouldn't play this game/pserver.

Anyway, I know about 15~20 people playing Aion, including one I met in-game and then IRL, as I happened to visit his hometown (Veliko Turnovo) ;P

Criticize this post all ya want, that's what I think o.e

Same here in my place, it's not so popular, but who cares? I play because I want to.

Anyways, in the Philippines, it's really popular (Especially in CDO)

SEE, I KNEW IT WAS THE TIRED OPTION

Also - I think League of Legends is the easiest game to get irl friends into, and I also think its the easiest game to lose irl friends from xD

It is underrated because it is not free , it is obvious.
People in our days cannot afford paying a monthly fee. And even if they can , they will not pay for a Faction Game (Which automatically means zerg pvp , no skill for PvP) definitely.

The most important in a game is the Free PvP , the ability to kill whoever you like - whenever you like.
Not have a retard KSing you LEGALLY and ninjalooting your items/insulting you whenever he likes and acting like a power ranger behind a screen just because there's nothing you can do.

Aion's functions may be much better than Lineage's for example , but just because of the free PvP Lineage has , people will play it instead of Aion.

There was a Private Aion Server in the past , in which you could attack your own race. I do not want to say the name of it , the server is closed however , it no longer exists. If we could make that... half of the other Private Servers' people would come here , i guarantee you.

ps: I forgot to mention. Aion is a heavy game , most of the people who got old computers either cannot play it or can play it with a framerate of 10/sec , which makes it unplayable.

    Uhh.............

are you forgetting WoW? Rift? Star Wars? -others too im sure but cant be assed to think of all of them at this time of morning-

Pretty sure those have a monthly fee (hell, just making a WoW account these days with all the expansions costs $80, and that'll be up to $100 in a year or less), and factions, but they're well known, popular names.

A lot of people actually enjoy games that you pay for because it strengthens the community. Playing retail basically weeds out a lot of the people willing to risk their account, more kids (not to say it completely gets rid of all of them), and such, so its actually a much more enjoyable experience for a lot of people

WoW is an old game xD old players play there. Rift is not that old , but it doesn't have as many players as wow... not even compared , unless the population was increased in the last few months and i was not aware of it. As about star wars.. just lol.

If it was a free game , trust me , aion would be one of the most famous games ._.'

If Aion was free it probably wouldn't be as advanced as it is, you have to keep that in mind when you say that.

Also, if Aion was free there probably wouldn't be as many private servers, if any at all, and with the grind it probably wouldn't turn out well since most people that have quit Aion did it within days of starting the game because they hated the grind of it.

There are a lot of factors you should be taking into account when you assume something like that ;p

Also, WoW being old doesn't nullify the fact that its a faction based game that you have to pay monthly for and its currently the most popular and well known MMO on the market.

Rift doesn't have but about a 10th of the numbers that WoW has, but I'd wager it has more players than Aion retail does by a longshot, and it'd probably have a ton of private server players if it wasn't such a pain to code the emulators for it

Star wars? Whats the lol about for it >.>. It's not even released yet, and the collectors edition for it costs like $150 but still its probably the most highly anticipated MMO right now (above GW2) and I don't even want to guess how many copies they're going to ship out on the first day.

However you want to argue, its a bit illogical to say that Aion's underration is due to the payment necessary in any way. The sheer fact that it isn't free is what causes private servers to be made, and private servers probably drive the popularity of Aion more than the retail game itself.

underrated? hell no, it seems rather overrated as I read some of these comments lol. and it's true, as someone mentioned here before aion kinda failed :S

Also Lineage is greater in many aspects. L3 would be truly epic, it was supposed to come out this year, but some ƒucknuts stole those damn files and now whole project is delayed or w/e happened to it, sigh..
